My impressions on Anni 2023 for few listening sessions

• I feel full in sound remind me when I heard Mentot for first time. Nice tuning. Amazing work from Lee
• Nice quality DD bass , good mid bass and sub bass but not like Fatfreq level for sub
• Good treble , clear , details without fatigue
• Long waiting time
• Pentaconn … whyyyy
• Shell is large but good fit for me
• Stock cable is heavy
• Hard to drive, might similar to MSE

I received my @doctorjuggles custom gold plated silver cable with Con-x and terminated 1/4”.



This is an absolute endgame chain for me, both aesthetically and sonically. The gold plated silver, as reported by @phiemon and others, really elevates Trifecta....smoother up top, more sparkle and articulation in the treble...slightly more balanced and holographic sound on the whole. Pure win for me.

Please excuse my critical observation, but I am basically interested in Anni, so I ask.

You talk in your impressions about "nice quality DD bass , good mid bass and sub bass... good treble". All this somehow doesn't sound excellent to me and that overall gives me the feeling that Anni is not at all technically on the highest level like - say: - Mentor. Maybe you can say something about that? I read that you also have Mentor. How would you compare the two technically?

LP6 Ti still moves for near its MSRP on classifieds when it pops up

i’ve been so curious about this DAP. having sp3k, still makes me wonder if it would still be an upgrade. i am looking forward for LP7 (ti) as my next DAP.

I don’t think Mentor BA bass can compared to Anni. For my opinion both have good mid (I give Mentor ahead a bit for mid) but Anni is better for bass, more rumble, more impact than BA bass from Mentor. Both have good technical and very clear details. But some might feel Mentor a bit too spicy for some high. I don’t have that feeling with Anni. For busy notes on YYZ from Rush, both do very well.

That is a sick looking cable! And what a perfect match with the Trifecta, both aesthetically (and sonically, by your impressions). I think I need to try out a doctorjuggles cable at some point!
