had wanted to change a car but currently the certificate to own a car for 10 years here in sg is at 116k sgd lol
That's because a car is bigger than most apartments! You could just park it and live in there instead. Your hifi system is in your left pocket; plenty of space for less important things!

Jeff, did you know that exactly 1 year ago the Watercooler thread was at about post 4,200 while in a few days we will be crossing the 40,000 line????? That's like 100 new comments per day on average!

I remember around that time I jokingly said that you should probably try to monetize it. After buying that beautiful new car we accept this as an auspicuous moment to thank us for making you filthy rich 😜

Let's continue the straight line up and take this to 400,000 next November guys...

Maybe introduce a new poll for guessing the top 3 posters. My journey on the train had some gaps so I can't tell really, but my best guess would be:

1. @HiFiHawaii808
2. @Rockwell75
3. @gLer

My 2nd anniversary today on Head-Fi, at least with this username - I had registered a few years before as 'Scubadevils' but with an email address I no longer had access to.

I joined again to make a decision on an upgrade from the ZX300 to the ZX507... @Damz87 - I'm seeing now that you were the first to respond :)

I was incredibly innocent at the time to think I'd buy the ZX507 and XBA-N3 and that would be it...

And surprisingly, ZX300 hasn't been Scubi'd!

Would you believe it did actually go up on classifieds at some point but the sentimental value kicked in and I pulled it! I often use now as a burner due to the fantastic battery life.

@Scuba Devils your anniversary inspired me to look back on my very first post and it was also on a Sony thread 🤭 I had bought an EX1000 a few weeks after buying the IER-Z1R and I remember being so amazed at finally finding my first “synergy” a number of months later with the FiiO Q5s, and I had to share it with the world 😂 I struggled with the EX1000 up to that point. Not enough bass and peaky treble with my other main source (the Sony PHA-2A)
