I too miss Odin for that amazing bass but I’m also going to wait and see what Empire bring out next. Was chatting with @HiFiHawaii808 & @discord earlier today about the new EE stuff. Pretty excited to see what they do :) ideally an Odin with slightly more bass, a bit less upper mids and more Annihilator-ish upper treble
That would be something I’m quite keen to get 🤩

Did my usual 'have a quick listen' before packing it up for classifieds... IE900 has to stay - an IEM that is ultra comfortable and portable, great isolation, fantastic battery and not compromising on SQ while on the go. I used to travel a lot for work prior to covid and while it hasn't recommenced as yet, it likely will soon. I can't think of a better travel solution for my needs than ZX300 and IE900... ZX300 already travelled many miles with me prior to covid.

I did manage to list ZEN PRO and Penon Vortex however... very reluctantly :)

Has anyone hear Elise Audio IEMs? Are they any good? The marketing spiel is a bit off-putting:

"Additionally, IEMs on the market face these issues:
  • Uneven frequency response leading to unnatural sounding peaks and dips in audio playback
  • Tuning is intentionally held back so that a ‘higher-end’ model can be released subsequently"

I can think of a few IEMs in the recent poll that defy those two characterizations.

Also, are they suggesting that the tuning of their 'lower-end' models is as good?

And is it just me or does the description "earth shattering dynamics" come across as a bit alarming?

I really should continue downsizing lol, but I’ve stopped… For now 🤭

I’ve recovered enough funds for the time being and, as sad as this sounds, I’m finding it difficult to let go of anymore pieces of gear. Also I missed Elysian X and U12t after selling them so I re-bought them. I think I’m failing at this 😂🤦‍♂️

You managed to find another X for sale? lol
Considering how limited X is, there are way more X on resale in Head-fi compared to Annihilator

Today I re-bought the IER-Z1R  Price is now only $1300 for a brand new set. And I couldn't resist the urge to have it back.
Now with the best bass Z1R, the best treble Annihilator and the best all-rounder U12t, I believe I can take a break from shopping for a while.

Hopefully I’ll have mine early august. They’re supposed to ship at the end of the month and I was lucky enough to get in the first batch. I have high but reasonable expectations for this set.
It took me quite a while to convince myself that it wasn't time to think about the Storm yet. It’s called Storm because it's born to wipe out our wallet :sob:

At that price, I might as well forget it exists!

I still won't be able to stop myself from reading impressions.

Probably because X is Universal and most bought Annihilator in CIEM ... 🤔

Nah, Annihilator has been in the market for years, and the Universal turnaround time is faster and cheaper than the CIEM. There are definitely more Annihilator Universals than 35 units of X
