My first night with the Aroma Thunder was quite nice! I wasn't able to get much of a listen in the evening but when I went to bed I popped them in for what I thought would be a short listen. My player was on shuffle and over the next 2 and half hours I heard, Pearl Jam, Ella Fitzgerald, Queensryche, Two Fingers, Smashing Pumpkins, Adele, Led Zeppelin, Plini, The Pineapple Thief, Rush, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, Esperanza Spaulding, Assemblage 23, and Aphex Twin. Everything was presented wonderfully, rich and full of texture, while still fast and detailed. These are indeed a great all arounder and I am looking forward to hearing a ton of music through them! These are brand new so I expect the experience to get even better as I try different tips cables and rigs!

Configuration for the above listening, Azla Sedna tips, stock 4 mm cable, ddhifi 4 mm to 3.5 adapter, Hiby R3 Saber/Chord Mojo 2 stack.

3 different DAPs, 3 different infrastructures, 3 different brands, but 1 thing in common: pursuit of the best possible sound. They all amaze me in their own ways. The new joiner (P6pro) faces stiff competition against the 2014 Calyx and Lotoo’s little wonder. More burn-in required. No winner or definite favorite for the time being. A very small preference for the Calyx M, though, especially with the C9 attached to it (fcuk double amping, this combo rocks!)

Calyx M / LP P6Pro / Lotoo Paw6000

Jesus Christ.😱

I don't go to Andalucía for a long time but it can be horrendously hot in the summer. I used to go to Jerez to watch MotoGP and even in May it is hot as hell. Even Madrid due to his location in a valley could be terrible. Here in Portugal in Alentejo or Ribatejo is hot too. My hometown is in the north nearby Porto is colder but this week it was 40°.

I'm turning into one of those people who shows up every few days with 100 pages to catch up on.

That's this thread in a nutshell!

Wow, I hope you guys don’t have power issues

This year it seems not, since there are many people who cannot turn on the air conditioning due to the price that electricity has reached 🤦

Jesus Christ.😱

That's crazy! It's 90-95° all the time during the summer here in Denver and I think that's hot (stupid American who doesn't know how to use Celsius here).

Are the Grand Duke's vented????
No vented shells, no needed cause of dual chamber

Bass is indeed really good on it with an outstanding decay

I again got a chance to audition these today, man why do these sound so good. It's like I want these I just don't want to sell my kidney for these xD Actually we did some cable rolling on the 64Audio Tia Fourte, used the stock cable of Empire Ears Legends Evo, Thor Silver 2 from Effect Audio, Effect Audio Horus, LABKABLE Takumi, and the PW Audio 1950 something. Actually a friend has bought the Tia Fourte so we finalised on upgrade cables, Effect Audio Horus, PW Audio 1950S came out to be the absolute winners with the set. Empire Ears Legends Evo stock cable also performed quite well, Labkable Takumi 2 went too soft on the set, Tia Fourte sounded too warm with the Takumi. I am planning to save up and somehow get a U12T for some musical pleasure as this is way out of my league :(

The set is definitely a very good one. Is this the N8ii?
N8ii as you say
In the picture is the PW Audio First Times
But just received my Brise Audio STR-7 Ref
This is for me THE combination
Prefer it way more
Bass is slightly hitting harder
Nice wide soundstage
Actually I'm getting a second Brise Audio cable

Listened to Thunder connected to PWA 1950s and Shanling M6 Pro 21 as I drove to my beach home this morning. Enjoyed it thoroughly . Got to beach home and unpacked and opened up iFi Gold Go Bar and hooked it to my IMac . Sounds real good. Will run it all weekend to break in.

@RTodd Stopped in at the old plant today to say Hi. Guys were working on some SCADA screens for the City sewage remote monitoring. Thought of you. Back home by the pool with Kann Alpha and Odin and a bit of EQ. Think I prefer this to Wonderware.

I need the wide tips as well and usually settle on Symbio Peel.
