That's promising relative to some of the other comments I've read. How are the mids? I've heard them described as metallic sounding by some-- did you find this? Was the timbre nice & natural? Have you heard the Timeless or any other planar IEMs and how do they compare if so?
The mids are no where close to being metallic or raspy. That's something I'm especially sensitive to. The overall timbre is natural and smooth. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's a really mellow timbre but the Supermoon certainly has a soothing character without seeming overly warm. I prefer its tonality to the LCD-4 and Diana Phi. Sultans of Swing just sounds soooo right.

Back with the P1 Max this evening after a busy and very tiring week. I mentioned how fantastic vocals and acoustic sounded - trying ambient this evening and again really beautiful results... the emotional connection is right to the chest, the actual definition of breath taking. This Jon Hopkins album has a lot of field recordings to accompany the music - rainfall, bird song etc and it just sounds so incredibly natural, so detailed, engaging and smooth... totally winding my brain down after a chaotic week.

Some genres don't work quite as well, it was the same for me with Timeless but for those that do, they absolutely work wonders. Definitely curious to explore more planar, possibly even headphones next!

Fantastic album for anyone who enjoys ambient.

Yeah impressions are certainly all over the map with this one. Thank-you for sharing...if Dire Straits sounds good that's a very good sign for me. There's a slim chance I'll have mine today but it's looking more like Monday...can't wait to hear them for myself.

I'm sure you'll like them. Your impressions of the Dorado helped me to buy one and it's definitely a keeper. Campfire's tuning philosophy seems to resonate well with me.
