The (Un)Official Amp Thread For ZMF Headphones

When the two 'TRS' toggle switches are set to 'IEC' and to '0dB', the output impedance of IMG_7856.jpegDNA Sonett 2 is 120 ohms. Perfect for all dynamic-driver ZMFs !! Between that and the tube configuration (Brimar CV1863 KB/FE, pair EH 6H30p gold pin), 🤪👍.
Have you found much difference in the sound depending on the subject matter of the books you use to stack?

I see many tubes amps in this thread. Anyone have or try the Quicksilver tube amp? I cannot find a thread on it.

My experience dealing with Quicksilver was a complete disaster from start to finish. Their headphone amp? Absolute garbage in terms of build quality. It's like they threw it together in a hurry without giving a damn about quality. And don't even get me started on the owner, one of the most arrogant person I've ever encountered. I wouldn't touch their products with a ten-foot pole. If you want to hear more about why I'm so fed up, shoot me a message and I'll give you all the details.

Thanks for that. Somehow I could not find them. I'm wondering if it would be any better than my Feliks Audio Echo Mk2.
Try Amperex e88cc bugle boy or Tungsram.
You will give that echo a 2nd life.

Is there a specific version of these tubes you are suggesting? Where can I find them?
