I was also not aware of the type B connector difference...weird choice changing the connection type of the UNIVERSAL Serial Bus...

I guess this just emans that we need to get everything on the Type C connector.
It's still mostly universal. Host devices change up all the time (USB B, USB 3.0 B, miniUSB, microUSB) as long as the other end is USB A, it's all good. :D
Believe me, when I first got into computers, all the various ports will make your head spin. (Serial, parallel, SCSI, midi, PS/2, Midi, etc). USB is a muuuch better approach.

Hey guys. Quick question here. I already have some old 1/4 to 1/8th adapters I could use (shown below, yes I know one is mono so I wouldnt use that) but I am wondering if one of these two options would be better as I don't know when these old adapters are from (not sure if there has been any changes in the tech in the last 20 or so years or whenever these were made (I didn't buy them). Thanks for your help guys. I am considering these two if you don't think the one I currently have is sufficient to plug into the Magni.

Edit: I would assume gold would be better than whatever silver looking metal was used on these old ones.

I'm considering the Magni 2 or Magni 2 Uber for the AKG K7XX and Astro Mixamp. I've been following the thread for info on the Magni 2 vs Magni 2 Uber and still am unsure which to get. With my setup what would be the differences in terms of sound? Which would you recommend?

So $5 would get you up to 12 of those?! Can't afford NOT to buy them. One for every room, every headphone, etc.
Might want to consider $18 for this title from Amazon: "Sennheiser
Cable Adapter Female 1/4" 6.3mm to Male 1/8" 3.5mm Plug"
as your main one, well built.

Someone explain how those are made plated in "gold" but only cost 0.41.

I highly doubt it is real "gold" they use.

Could be a real thin plating. Gold can be hammered to 0.1 micron thick as in gold leaf. So you don't need much. Long ago it was learned to selectively plate gold onto the contacting surfaces in switches as a means of controlling costs.
Heck, anyone interested in a 100% pure gold,  Taiwanese pyrite Rolex?

 No offense to the ROC.
