are you guys planing a loaner tour for these IEMs?

How do you fit earbuds, especially large ones like EM5? There is no tip/sleeve like most IEMs (ta, I know, IEMs go inside your canals).

Gosh I've learned to fit air tight IEM like fiio FA7, sony IER-M7. But never learnt to properly fir an earbud, so that it doesnt keep falling out

Would like to try hi-end buds after many years with IEM. @FiiO how do you guys made research on the problem of the typical earphone (earbud) constantly falling out, I think 16mm diameter is fairly large to fit and yo stay relatively stable for hours.

The flute is for the bass response? Another calamity of earbuds lack of bass.

On earbuds maybe the 14mm is a worlds first. On IEM sony has produced several with16mm lateral-firing designs (Ex1000/800ST, XBA- H3/A3/Z5)

Thanks for the kind feedback. Adult ear profile can fit 16mm headphones well. Besides, Sennheiser, Sony, Audio-Technica and other classic headphones are maintained in the diameter of 16mm or even more than 16mm.

I don't understand why Fiio didn't do this with MMCX cable like Fiio LC-RE like that people could have very nice cable and optional IEMs.

Thanks for the feedback. MMCX design will lead to big ear handle which bring heavier weight. The wearing will not be comfortable at that time. So we did not do this with MMCX cable.

Gotta admit, when I first saw the MSRP on these, I scoffed at the idea. However, upon further review, I am still intrigued. I just can't see myself rolling the dice on fitment. I can't even get the old school Apple earbuds to fit in my ears the way they're supposed to (I have to insert them sideways....no good). I guess I just have weird ears; and I use size Large eartips for my IEMs. Go figure.

Still, really looking forward to reading users' impressions of these. Hoping Fiio keeps working on their hybrid IEM tuning; like a more refined FH7, for example.

@ledzep, @ClieOS: How is the fit in the ear, compared to MX500 or Yuin PK shell? Does the EM5 feel larger, smaller, similar?
