Interested to see what ISN model they send.Seems Penon are going to dispatch my 10th Anniversery IEM and the free gift which will be an ISN IEM. I'm looking forward to the 10th because no one has a bad word to say about it, in fact quite the opposite....it may well be the best reviewed IEM I have seen. Not expecting miracles though. The mystery is what ISN they will send to me. Exciting .......What cable does the 10th come with?

Penon Turbo in da house. First impressions are extremely positive. The hype is real. Favorite switch tuning is 0-100 so far.

My current preference is 0-111, but I pretty much switch it up daily.

Could you help me decide between 10th and Turbo?
I was initially locked on the 10th to upgrade my beloved Fan2, but then Turbo popped up.
So those of you who listened to both, what do you gravitate more to?
(my lib is mostly metal and vocal music)

While I haven't heard the Turbo yet (en route), I think the 10th is more versatile and sounds heavenly with vocals and has plenty of punch/clarity for metal, IMHO.Could you help me decide between 10th and Turbo?

male vocals I would give the edge to the 10th, Female vocals I would give a slight edge to the turbo. It is the 10th that does vocals a bit better vs the Turbo as it has a bit more fullness for its lower mids profile. Both do bass exceptional and are excellent for metal and rock music. Turbo is speedier due to it not requiring air to move the BAs. Tighter transients due to this aspect. Something like speed metal there is nothing faster than an all BA set. This being said the 10th using two micro 6mm bio dynamics are speedy but not quite as speedy as the Turbo. If you like dynamic bass vs BA bass I would go for the 10th but if you want one with bass adjustability then the Turbo would be the one to get. Both are good for trebles but ESTs for the 10th gives some better airy qualities to the 10th tuning.Could you help me decide between 10th and Turbo?

Now if your more into your bass genres than there is no question the Turbo is a basshead delight but it isn't like the 10th lacks for bass in any way. It just doesn't have the 20dbs of bass the Turbo has.
I have a feeling you would dig the 10th as it is like a much more expansive, more dynamic sounding Fan 2 with more bass impact and treble sparkle. A clear upgrade on them in every way. I have them in my ears as I am typing ( With new Penon cable ). Turbo is tempting I get it but for your genres I would go 10th.

The 10th is my current fave, if that helps.

What attracts me in the Turbo is that I never owned an all BA set, and it is a banger in the category. And I sometimes listen to bass heavy music (dnb, techno, trance), so this may be a complementary basshead IEM to my Fan2, that would cover the bulk of my library. And also the shell is so damn pretty and small too, great for outdoors and long listening I recon.
But you guys are right, the 10th is a smarter choice.

They're both excellent, but I'd lean slightly towards 10th AE because of the versatility and thick note weightBetween the 10th and the EPZ 530 which is the best
Totalt different IEMs. I bet both are wonderful.Between the 10th and the EPZ 530 which is the best
EPZ 530 is a 5 BA set, while 10th is tribrid with 2DD 2BA and 2EST.
Looking at 530 measurement from Akros YT video, it should be a more neutral IEM while 10th more V shape.

I bought the 10th immediately on its release with the member code free gift. The gift was a cable as I had requested. It felt thin and flimsy, but upon inspection, I found it was the ISN GC4, a gold plated, copper wire that costs $180! Okay, pretty nice "gift"!
Fast forward and I finally started trying out this cable, and low and behold, it mates beautifully with the Serial bringing out all of is speciality!
So, for the very reasonable cost of the 10th, I got a kickass cable for my Serial. Thanks, Penon!!!

You're right. Totally different I imagine.
The 530 is my benchmark for instrumental/acoustic/jazz etc. It's so clean, organic and balanced with extension far out to the furthest reaches. A real super tuning. I can see the 10th rocking much harder with metal and electronic genres though, thanks to that beefy low end and DD noteweight / density
