What is the consensus on tips for the Serial? I tried my Final E tips on the Fan 2 and they sounded hollow. Had to use wide bore and the only ones I had were from LETSHUOER.

Im finding the Dunu S&S tips work wonderfully with the Serial. Full range sound with hard hitting bass and great highs without sounding fatiguing. What is the consensus on tips for the Serial? Before I had the Symbio tips on there and it sucked out the treble IMO. Go with Dunu S&S.
Thank you! They've actually been on my list to try for some time.Im finding the Dunu S&S tips work wonderfully with the Serial. Full range sound with hard hitting bass and great highs without sounding fatiguing.

If you get the S&S tips from the Penon store, you can choose all three sizes rather than more limited size options.Thank you! They've actually been on my list to try for some time.
Let me see if they'll add it to my order, thanks! If you get the S&S tips from the Penon store, you can choose all three sizes rather than more limited size options.
What do these free items look like from Penon? The case, tips, cable, etc.?
I have had 2 of the basic nameless Penon IEMs, a basic Penon earphone, a basic BGVP IEM, a Dawnwood ST08 and a low tier Kinera cable. Generally more expensive orders get better gifts, but it seems quite random. The only item that really disappointed was the earphones as it was slightly damaged, the rest were nice to give to friends and family. What do these free items look like from Penon? Nothing says, "I love you" like a pair of nameless earbuds....the rest were nice to give to friends and family.

Leo Plus removes the Serial obscurity! Yes!True. They're
One of HK's best export, albeit very minimal exposure, yet deliver the goods. Excellent Value for money, too.
"Let me face, sound and fury... " - as Ms. Florian sang. Subtle but powerful statement. Fantastic voice rendition from Penon.
Re: Serials on Leo Plus, missing something on upper mids, lower trebles? Leo plus removes that obscurity with ease.
Check out the extra oomph on the lower bass, there's extra clarity overall with the Leo plus, no thinness, like your typical pure silver brings, more body is expected.
Enjoy the superlative 3d effects on a tGi Friday, everyone...

One way is if you want to add a physicality to a brighter set-up that’s already in use, the Totem Adapter kind of adds a small amount of body. Though the other way is simply wondering if the money spent on a whole different cable may be the route. So question regarding the Totem adapter. It's like $80... would money be better spent on a full cable if you didn't already have something good vs. putting the adapter on a cheaper cable? I'm sure this has been asked at some point.
That may depend on many things. One your hearing and wiring into which you have a personal affinity to certain sound signatures or portions of new sound signatures. The DAP you are using, and really most important the methodology of the IEM you want to join the Totem Adapter too. Meaning it works better with all BA units, but there are also DD/BA Hybrids that it works wonders for, so nothing is permanently in stone. Once you have maybe a brighter cable and IEM in place, the Totem will come in a give extra body which is at times all that’s needed to reach sonic nirvana. IMO

Well, you did good getting the Totem. This you already know! The Leo family is so underrated these days. Or at least, hardly anyone writes about them. I’m glad anytime I see folks talking about them. I recall it being described here (possibly by @ehjie but correct me if I’m wrong) as the unsilver silver cable and I completely agree. It is not a cable that you would purchase if you wanted to discover the sound of a typical silver cable.
I still don’t have the Leo Plus (set aside funds for it then promptly blew the budget to smithereens by springing for the Totem instead cos yolo and all that). But at the risk of repeating myself, the OG Leo was one of my very first Penon purchases about 6 years ago and the beginning of a long slippery slope and it has seen almost constant use since then. Which in itself already says something.
And when I cable-rolled the Impact, it was the Leo that stood out against a whole clutch of other much newer cables as having the ideal mix of air and extension for me, without thinning out its gorgeous mids or coming at the expense of musicality. I can imagine that the Plus would only improve on it.
I may make another attempt to purchase the Leo Plus this year.
I mean this may sound crazy, but the Totem was a life changing experience. This was because I already had the WM1Z and a had a few IEMs which (I thought) took me to where I needed to go sonic wise. Then out of the blue the Totem came in and showed me stuff I had never heard before.
In fact I celebrated the reality, basked in the truth that was unfolded. Yet the Leo Plus also is like a mini Totem due to how they project the same personality and give you the same tone. Though the thing is the Leo Plus may be more well-rounded and may work with more stuff? Plus the obvious......that where the Totem is extreme (in movements) the Leo Plus owns a style of dexterity that simply keeps on getting out of the way. Where you know when the Totem is in place in it’s physical physicality. But for those that want a taste of what the Totem can do, it’s not a coincidence that both cables have the same materials and come from the same company!

Yes. Totem will committedly deliver better bass definition, refined detailed mids, refined treble and of course better low level details. So question regarding the Totem adapter. It's like $80... would money be better spent on a full cable* if you didn't already have something good
They maybe subtle, but very audible.
The Kicker, a larger sound field.
The effect is there, but fractionalvs. putting the adapter on a cheaper cable? I'm sure this has been asked at some point.
*The principle of diminishing returns apply here. Can a USD700 cable be 7 times better on an 80 buck adapter? Nope, but as much as twice is assured.

Totally altered its Sonic character. Energy has been infused, as well a bigger bass (both sub and mid bass), thicker treble. The scale of imaging also larger. It can be a good thing to some folks.Anyone Tried Os849 with Globe or Serial?

The Serials on os849 sounds like a larger imaged Globe...Does it suit one better than other, I have it in single ended version. Was leaning toward Globe
