Now here's a question... On IEM earpieces there is obviously a Left and Right cable socket. Thereafter, on my Cable, in this instance a Penon .78mm, are two pins. Does it matter which (holes) way 'round they are inserted into the earpiece?

The Globe came in 2 days from China to NYC! DHL is amazing lol.

It's as good as I hoped (and read) it would be! Midrange is still just as good as the Orb but with that added treble energy and extension. The bass still has quite bit of a kick straight out of the headphone jack on my Pixel 4a (but has even more slam out of the BTR5).

Couldn't be happier! I can comfortably say this will be an endgame for a very long time for me personally (at least until some shiny new toy comes around). 🙂

It does matter. If the pins are reversed it will be out of phase and sound weird usually. You will likely have anemic bass. Traditionally the bottom hole of the socket is the positive connector. Cables that have molded ear hooks will eliminate the guesswork but if the cable does not have the earhooks then look for a tiny red dot near the pins and align the marked pin with the bottom socket (with the IEM oriented as if inserted in the ear). If you get it wrong no harm, just reverse them.

if the voices are off centred, than they normally are, try switching the pins, just on one side.
The stock cable are properly oriented...

It matters a lot. Take a look here at the image. (Satin Audio's 0.78 2pin connector)

Manufacturers often make them in a way so that those grooves always face outward and faces the same direction as the IEM faceplates. Usually, they also try to put the L/R markings, color markings, or brand logo in the same direction. Those are the most common ways to tell users how they should put the connectors properly. Although these aren't necessarily always correct. Some DIY cables or repaired ones might turn out wrong or in the opposite depending on how the maker paid attention to the details mentioned.

I thought someone said pins/polarity doesn't matter, as long as polarity is matched on each side? (I didn't even realize there was polarity in IEMs until someone here pointed it out)
