Same pattern as Serial, indicating it really is a true successor (as opposed to purely having a similar driver setup with no other similarities)

Very interesting. Good to see 2 x 10mm for bass, interesting to see a graphene for mids, but the surprise and most interesting is a 4.5mm DD for highs. I really hope it's in my price range. Anybody know of another unit that uses a 4.5mm for highs?

Wont have access to it till tomorrow but I was told a package was delieverd today. Could be the quattro.

As per the driver set. Very interesting using a micro HD dynamic for trebles, excellent choice actually, saves space and micro HD dynamics are excellent at treble detail. Graphene 8mm dynamic for mids and 2x 10mm composite for bass. I am gonna guess the bass end on these are going to be fairly stout. Haven't heard it yet but it will be interesting to hear that is for certain.

Will post something about them real soon. Keep tabs, this one might be the next big hit for Penon.

JVC used a lot of micro HD dynamics for their earphones in the past. Believe me, treble was never lacking on any of them.

Nice. Will be waiting for your impressions, pics, and reviews. Those twin 10mm DDs are going to be very interesting.

Promised myself I won't be buying any more expensive IEMs but might have to make another exception for this one, depending on reviews. Hopefully it's not over $500.

Different configuration from the Monachaa. Which I had been looking forward to as well and had the opportunity to demo and… as it turned out, I don’t need it. Staying the course and keeping the powder dry for the Quattro.

I’ve been on hiatus for a while but the Quattro has got my attention. Awaiting impressions.

I really like the choice of drivers for the Quattro. Graphene is known for its musical texture for mids performance. -- A bit like Sonion BAs in tonality? Hmmm Dual 10mm composite dynamic for bass? Composite means it is a mixed material dynamic, meaning I bet it was selected for its bass definition and ability . If tuned a bit like what we see in the 10th anniversary for bass but physically bigger drivers. Both handling bass from upper to lower bass. A micro dynamic for trebles and air? I can clearly tell these are serious business. The dynamic selection here was very much chosen to be the sucessor to the Serial. Which does not surprise me as I believe the Serial is one of Penons all time best sellers.

End of the year has come my friends and this is the time of year the rabbit comes out of the hat. Here we go.

hey guys, anybody have tested or reviewed the Night Oblivion Butastur?

I was expecting lotta reviews and sound impressions but i either miss it or dont see it...i mean there 3 reviews on headfi but i struggle to get an idea of the sound still....i expect crazy layering-imaging with 10ba as well as rich lively macro dynamic. the bass i expect it fast and round, not thin due to graph that show proper full range bass apart perhaps sub roll off?

i mean 10 knowles BA for 600$ is something quite exceptional....could it compete with overhyped big boi like the 64audio U12T? this is my question here. do it offer great sound value technicaly wise and did tuning is refined and cohesive enough to be consider high end?

ill do my best to review those, even if i have to throw $ to do so for plain sound value reviewing curiosity.

other question would be: is there any other 10 knowles or sonion BAs IEM in sub600$ price range right now?
