Desktop setup vs portable in general. There's a difference?

Specifically:
Will I hear a noticeable difference buying a desk dac+amp (example- E50+L50 topping) for an iem such as Globe/Volt in comparison with portable- Qudelix 5k (which I own and use now even in house) ?

The improvements are mostly on the lower and upper treble, but keeping the classic warm mids gently, steadily rising to the lower treble

The Sound field will always be larger on a desktop set-up, including the scale of imaging.
The Volts generated an ultra wide sound field, the largest I have ever heard...

I see you got a tube amp there
I've been watching also on tube amps for 6xx ..Myabe I just get the Volts and forget about the 6xx. If the Volt goes also well with tubes... lol maybe I won't even make the tube a consideration and might even skip the 6xx , and maximize enjoyment with the Volt.
So do you use a tube amp also for the Volt?
