They are indeed outstanding

Fit, ergonomic and sound are top notch. But unfortunately this is a very quiet tread i don't think that many people have bought it.

listening to audiophile voices albums using this primacy and the mojo give me goosebumps! rawr
pls try it guys. :)

(make sure its fully burned in about 200-300 hours, the sound will mature)

You're saying that even at 100+ hours of burn in, the sound continues to develop? Can you describe the developments you've heard since your initial listen?

at first listen i found the sound to be fat, and enjoyable. i really liked it alot.
then it changes (more mature)...
sound becomes more open, more spacious sounding, more defined well and refined. (maybe it changes about 10% more when burned in @150hours)
ill try to give it more listen tonight, since im fond of my velvets at the moment. :)
i think one iem that develop in that mark of time is  the dita truth (and answer too).

I measured the Primacy when it arrived.  I've probably got 60 hours on them now - so I'll measure again.  And I can burn them for as long as anyone wants.  They haven't changed one iota to me in all the time I've had them. My brain has become more used to the sound - definitely.  This claim of mechanical burn-in though, on an itty bitty little dynamic driver, and a couple of BA's ........

I'll remeasure and post the comparison graphs next time I have the measurement rig out.

@pinoyman - given that there is no way you can consistently get the same insertion depth each time, and that our reliable auditory memory lasts less than a minute - how can you be so sure it's related to burn-in?

only based on what ive heard.
theres a difference from the first time i listen to it and the last time i used it after its been burned in.
my mentality may not be that reliable but i trust my ears. :)

also, i think theres a difference in eartips used.
id be happy to know what you will find out in your measurement. :)

Can you tell me what changes in terms of bass. lower mids, upper mids, and treble?

There will always be a difference if you're using different tips from when you first listened - but that is not related to burn-in.  And its OK to trust your ears - but its our brain that is fallible.  I simply want to stop this myth of big changes with IEMs attributed to burn-in.  If people believe it themselves - fine.  But before telling everyone else it needs 100 / 200 / 300 hours (or whatever fantasy number) of burn-in, I'd like them to prove it.

And the 10% you quoted is a massive change.  So please redefine it in terms of actual sound signature.  You do that while I go remeasure.

OK - here is the original (it's the one I used in my review *the red line*, so you can tell I'm not faking this).  Blue line is one I took a few minutes ago.  Minor variations are likely to be the tips (guarantee I won't have used the same tips as last time).  From 20 dB to about 7 kHz you're talking way less than 1 dB (likely less than 0.5 dB. The changes at 7kHz north are likely to be the tips - most people talk about burn in changing bass and taming highs - even these small changes (if they were burn-in) would be direct opposite of that.  And they are all virtually less than a dB.  With music - you won't notice it.

If someone can show me how this equates to a 10% change - then I am quite literally "all ears"

BTW - these measurements were taken almost 3 months apart .......

Not only the tips, but also small variance regarding insertion angle, insertion depth and seal can cause some slight difference when measuring in-ears.

I have yet to listen to a pair of headphones, in-ears or earbuds that show a distinct, measurable change in tonality after burn-in.

Yep - the Shure engineers are one example of a good company who say there won't be any changes in either their dynamics or BAs following "burn-in".  I really wish more manufacturers could speak up as it really would put this myth to bed.

How do these compare to the Shure se535? I've been using the Shures extensively for the past year and looking for an alternate pair of IEMs.

this to me sounds better. more natural/organic sounding. treble is more extended than the shure.
you will like this and its more cheaper than the 535.
300 vs 500usd
