The ORIVETI PRIMACY and NEW PRIMACY Triple-Driver Hybrid In-Ears Impressions and Discussions Thread

wanted to upgarde to customs from my Heaven V. However, due to unforeseen budget restrictions I will opt first for an intermediate solution.
I like a lot what I read about the Primacy, although I so far never really have been convinced by hybrids.
Looking for a sound signature which is more on the bright side with lots of details but without neglecting the punch department.
Had a chance already to try the ATH-E70 which I liked, but I believe the Primacy might be adding bit more fun?
To be used on a Sony A17 and ZX100.

I have the heaven 6, its thicker sounding than the oriveti. It has a lot of details yeah but not bright. This one is warm sounding iem.

The primacy is for people who wants balanced and warm sound, with lots of details.

If youre looking for hard hitting bass plus the bright signature you are looking for, pls try the fx850 by jvc. It has the fun factor than the primacy.

Sorry im not very fond of walkman daps or sony's house sound, i find it too digital for my taste. So i cant comment on the primacy and walkman pairing. But if you can, it will sound good with mojo and aune m2s.

ok, thanks. I was thinking that as my sources used would be nice synergy and will cause the Primacy not sounding too warm.
That's what happened with my Heaven V which are actually also quite warm sounding, but having nice synergy with my A17.
E.g. the Heaven V on DX80 resulted in a disastrous warm, muddy sound.

I will go these days and simply try it!

I think the dx80 is a little muddy sounding player, compared to dx90. But perhaps it may changed if you upgrade the available firmwares.

Straight to my iphone 6, the sound of the primacy is already good, but better if you pair it with mojo like i said. Theres an increase in sound quality.

Heaven series by fads are all good too. But i find the primacy to be better in details and soundstage.

Thanks, I will try them soon and share my impressions.

Edit: I have decided to pull the trigger on these. They add a certain clarity compared to my Heaven V and furthermore
have a slightly more punchy and precise bass. Amazing value for money and perfect companion for DAP with a slightly
colder signature! Great synergy of these with my Sony A17.

I just got the Oriveti a few days ago. When i was demoeing the iem, i hear sibilance in some songs. I have tried another iem Dune DN2000J and DN2000 before buying. The DN2000 is better than DN2000J. While trying, I use my own cable, SXC8, to try on Oriveti. Wow! The sibilance has gone! So immediately, i bought it.

The first day, i try using Spinfit tip and sxc8 cable. I find the sound is quite congested. It makes me feel regret about the purchase but it is unfair to judge it on the first day so i continue my trials on second day.

On second day, i use back the original cable with spinfit tip and feels that the sound is better in the treble and more airy.

One the third day, i change the tip to the original silicon tip and notice the sound is even more airy and spacious. But the treble is sibilance abit for me. So I change to comply tip that is supply. Feels the bass is better and the treble is not sibilance. But I still find not perfect yet. Still feek something missing but cannot tell it where.

On the fourth day, I change the cable to sxc8 and also use silicon tip. Yes! It is still the best combo which i had tried it when I demo. From this combo, the cable sxc8 trim down the high treble and make it more spacious and also better bass with better layering. With silicon tip, the treble still remains as the cable has already trim the high treble. The silicon tip has bigger hole as compare to spinfit which therefore the spinfit make the sound congested as compare to original silicon and comply tip. Now, with the original silicon tip and sxc8 cable, i find Oriveti is really a good buy with sound that can match like Jupiter as I have it. I am so glad to buy the Oriveti!

Which sources did you use with Orivety? Maybe the DAP adds some brightness too...

With the stock silicone tips, there is a narrow upper treble peak (doing a sine sweep easily reveals it) but as the area below (around 5 kHz) is quite smooth and in the background, it is not really noticeable in 90%+ of the time when listening to music. Just when a single note exactly hits this frequency, it can be perceived as a little bright/harsh. But as I said, a single note really needs to hit exactly that narrow peak frequency which does not happen most of the time.

I ordered some of these hoping to have a better version of the flc 8s. From what I've red they are fairly close to how I tune my flc which is red, grey, grey.

My main complaint about the flc is the cable.. After having used Linum BaX cables for a few years anything not perfect is a pain. That said, I'm going to try them with these IEM's. Plus the comfort looks to be slightly better in a solid metal shell. Another complaint with the flc is it'd plastic body.

How is the isolation compared to the flc? I'm sure the flc has sound leakage in and out with all of the ports but hopefully the Primes will be better sealing if only slightly.
