Just wanted to post some research results after listening to these headphones a few weeks with my home setup, the Schiit Asgard 2 & Bifrost Uber.  I absolutely love these phones, I find myself picking them up more than my HD650's.  After realizing this I wanted to bring this sound with me to work and found the Schiit Magni and Modi with some closed back headphones (because of noise isolation) the Sennheiser Amperiors made a very close comparison to the 325is.  Just in case someone was looking for something similar but with better isolation.

Interesting: my "main axe" cans are 325is for home, Senn HD 25-I Mk II with my iPod classic/Fiio inline remote-amp combo. Lots of bang for 500 bucks total.

The only negative I can give on the 325is cans is the plastic gimbals. Both of mine are stripped out where the S.S. adjustment rods thread in. Thankfully, I have metalworking as a hobby, so I made new ones in aluminum. Now working on making some in stainless steel.

Stainless will be much more durable (the aluminum ones are somewhat fragile), and I will post pics once complete. My design mounts to the adjustment rod with a set screw on the foam side and to the cups with my own modified socket head cap screws. Each set I make is handmade and fitted to my 325is cans.

Thanks for the kind comments, trying to finish the first stainless ones in the next few days. It's kind of hard right now though since my wife and I just had a new baby! Might be delayed another week, will keep updating though...
