True the 325 sounds ridiculously clear and detailed out of O2. I just wish someone can redesign O2 and fit in the case of a smaller amp like a leckerton UHA-6SMKII. It will be truly be the only amp you will need.

Yes, was hoping for that portable O2 as well, though it is already in a way. I am surprised there's none yet that's totally portable O2+ODAC. That would be awesome. Why is this difficult to produce, the battery requirements of the ODAC?

I am thinking that the sound is the same despite the finish and color differences.

It is, unless we're talking Sr325 non "i" or sr325e.

I bought the gold version simply because they were gold.

Weren't the "is" version made to tame the higher frequencies' resonances a bit?

Got the 325is # 17691 few days ago and they`re incredible.

Contratulations. Burn it in with bass heavy and BLOOMY music if possible. Those diaphragms will open up, treble smoothen up, and they'll be perfect, just like mine.

Cheers

Hi my first post here, been using 325's for some years now and thinking to mod them. Have bought some wood shells and wanted to ask if there are leather ear cushions to buy anywhere. I have trimmed the bowls on mine and they are more comfortable but still make my ears itch.

I have gold 325i serial #2041. I have had them for 4-5 years and I am the second owner (previous owner is Rednamalas1)

I have been using them with a Little Dot MkIII (gain level 3) for a few days now and love it. I want to "upgrade" and reduce "complication" when switching to my Beyerdynamic 770 600 Ohms (need to switch the gain settings on the amp.. it is a hassle). I am looking at the little dot i+ but I am not sure what tubes to get with it. What do you guys suggest?

Right now I am running Russian Tubes (Voshkod 6ZH1P-EV) on my MK III @ gain level 3 and the instrument separation is fantastic but the bass is not punchy enough. I know I can up the gain my I don't want to instrument separation.

My setup is:

iPad Air 2 (lightning 30 pin adapter) streaming lossless via Plex -> Little Dot MkIII -> Headphones

I am also thinking about a dac, if it is worth it. I would pair this with airport express to bypass iPad

Hi to all, my serial number if indeed that is what it is scratched on the black driver surround is 844. Just removed the silver cans and have black walnut in use. Have trimmed the foam cups flatter and the combined changes have reduced any harshness in the treble and improved bass. Now want to change from foam to leather as the foam is just too itchy.

Are you currently using these on your325's…or has anybody else on this thread tried them?
If so, how is the sound/comfort compared to the (L) cushions?
Thanks

They look interesting but I wonder how they would affect the sound.
