SR 325is
Just got new ones. Not polished metal, but metallic gray paint. Immediately replaced L-cush to yellow Senns 414 pads (soft & comfy). Started to burn-in.
...can't wait no more please Lord help me

  Short question:
How well do the 325is respond to LittleDot amps (namely III or IV)?

Currently traveling a lot, so mostly using them with 3Move for mobility.

Thanks

Most of the Little Dot amplifiers are OTL tube amps, so they are technically designed for higher impedance headphones.

The Little Dot I+ is the exception. Since it's a hybrid tube amp, it can put gobs of power into the 32 ohm grados. As a bonus, it's their most affordable model.

Thanks for the reply.

If so, are there any other TubeAmps which are known to sync well with them? To add a little warmth to the overall experience.

As I said earlier, I travel a lot, so spending large sums of money on a stationary amp isn't all that useful (at the moment).

The already mentioned LD I+ is commonly considered to be a good match with the 325's. I've got it myself and enjoy the combo a lot.

Yeah, the LD1+ is made for low impedence cans., and is a nice match with grado's.

Yes, the g cushion is the most comfortable pad....you will lose a tad of bass and gain a tad in sound stage.

Went in store to test amps, bought them along side a wa6 loving the sound comparing to my 650's.

Just curious if the g cush is the way to go for comfort?

Exactly what I use.  G-Cush = much bigger soundstage and lots more comfortable, IME.

I agree on the G Cush's as well. Much better comfort and better soundstage as already mentioned.

My opinion is, although the G-cush pads make the can a little more comfortable (not a lot), they also make them sound immensely worse. What people think is an addition to the soundstage depth is really just an empty and hollow feeling that gets added to the sonics because the pads do push the drivers slightly away from your ears. I think it also adds reverberation to the sonics which is just bad news in my book.
