Is this an open-back design? If so is there sound leakage?:pray:
The product page lists -12dB isolation.

What's also worth noting is what looks like a nice cable. I've owned multiple 64 Audio IEMs (still have the Volur) and the cable has always been a bit of a downer given what most similarly priced IEMs ship with these days.

Another thing worth noting, not only is this a different cable but Solo comes standard with two cables. 3.5mm ended and 4.4mm balanced.

This is also our first pure copper cable. Impressively low resistance, eight-braid, and feels incredible in the hand.

I remember that post!!
Good to hear from you bud. I still have my Noir. Still unbeatable for electronic, pop, and most female vocal focused affairs. No other iem's bass growls like it does.
Nothing can dethrone it because there is nothing like it. It's not of this world.
Haha thanks man!

I’ve been away for a while. Had put audio on pause for now since I went back to school and still been looking for work unfortunately. So no funds for anything new sadly.

But I saw this update on my timeline so just had to post haha

Did you get to try the Fourté Blanc?

Noir was definitely something else. I wish I had one to compare to the Blanc when I wrote my impressions.

Thanks for the additional info. It looks really nice. Excited to hear these at some point, and see some CanJam impressions.

Funny to read that.. It was same same for me.
I ordered Fourté Blanc, and do not open the box.
Too much work first, baby came… Too much work at the same time… And still too much work right now lol
BUT
I still have my Fourté Blanc sealed, waiting to be opened !
@rantng this is maybe the moment you were waiting for 😅
If you want to get one @rantng, I can personally vouch for @magicguy :100:

Thanks, But I don't know if -12db is good or bad. What I would like to know is if I'm sitting next to someone can they hear the music I'm playing? My listening level is just about normal conversation level. :spy:

@64Audio
I would love you to consider this :
Have a demo program

1. Person would pay full price for iem (s) on CC. Limit 2

2. Person would pay for all shipping and given choices on shipping speed

3. Person is allowed 3 days from delivery date. If returned late they would be charged $100 per day per IEm. 64 Audio would supply label for return and FedEx padded envelope.

4. Since no one works for free a $50 handling fee per iem would be charged as pics would have to be taken before and after etc with damages removed from refund.

5.Tips would not be supplied for hygienic purposes

6. A list would be created as there would be limited amount of demos available.

I will never buy blind again. Gladly spend $100+ to hear what I am interested in the peace and comfort of my own home vs public event even if I was going to buy from classifieds.

This shouldn't be a problem at normal volumes.

Thank you for your suggestion. We've worked hard over the last 14 years to build a global network of dealers and distributors. Because the local resellers have a better ear to the ground in their area, we empower them to build their customer base using every product and marketing tool we give them. Of course we understand that the world is big and we can't have a physical presence everywhere. In this particular case we will continue to rely on our global network to demonstrate the products where they can, and some are willing to ship sample units in some cases, since they are incentivized to make a sale.

While our reach is big, we remain a small team and this is one of those things that is outside of our capacity to manage. Again, thanks so much for the suggestion we hope you get to hear more of our products in person.

It's just a reference point. 64 Audio lists the isolation levels of all their IEMs. The Solo is rated the same as the Duo and shares the APEX Core technology, so one might infer isolation and leakage are similar.

Thanks for at least considering my suggestion. I now know what to do. I will buy backup sets for what I already own and store in Pelican cases and maybe pick up a U12t and retire from buying IEMs as I am very happy with what I own now. Window shopping is fun too. If you know which dealer(s) offer mail to you demo service would be awesome if that were posted somewhere.

Hi friends. We're excited to announce our newest UIEM, Solo. We'll leave the product page to speak for itself, we're excited for all of you to hear it. It will be available to demo at CanJam Socal. Available for purchase soon:

Looks absolutely fantastic, and well-priced. As ever the proof will be in the listening, however I've heard pretty much the entire 64 Audio line-up by now, and there's not a bad one among them.

If anyone is going to finally get a single-driver Planar IEM right, it will be this one, I have high expectations.

Is this an open-back design? If so is there sound leakage?:pray:

iirc Duo was likewise listed as -12db isolation, so somewhere between MX and M15 module. However that IEM still felt like it leaked more sound in than that, and it felt a bit like "awareness" or "transparency" modes you get from some ANC earbuds the time I demoed it.

One important thing to note, just like any ear-canal occluding devices, is that the noise reduction isn't linear. While the average spec is similar, the way it is perceived can be different because of that.
