this is great information, thanks! :L3000:
Apologies if it has been mentioned already (searching found nothing), but the standalone M12 module is finally available from 64 audio's website.

Looking forward to trying it.
Correct, the m12 module is now available for purchase. We probably should've mentioned it late last week. Definitely check it out if you're looking for a middle ground between mX and m15

Jezus the layering is something else....
It's like everything has it's own space and timbre.

I would also like to know how the new internal wiring of the Nio Galaxy affects the sound. Could someone from 64 Audio comment please?

If there’s no discernible difference are we really paying an extra $200 for a new faceplate?

If i'm not mistaken, the Nio Galaxy is region exclusive product, but I'm also kinda curious how it sounds compared to the original Nio

As far as tuning the Nio Galaxy is the same as the standard Nio. The new internal wiring just improves the impedance characteristics a bit, which could potentially change how the Nio Galaxy plays with different sources compared to the standard Nio, but that's pretty much the extent of it. The extra $200 price tag is also because it is a limited edition product. If the new faceplate doesn't speak to you then I would absolutely recommend keeping your money and waiting a little longer. We have some really cool stuff in the works right now that I'm excited for you guys to hear soon.

I really can't say. I don't get to decide when and how new stuff gets launched, so I can't make any promises or give any eta. But I can say with confidence that something cool is coming soon.

Hi everyone! I am an Andromeda lover and wonder if anyone has compared the U12T to the Andromeda 2020/Andromeda Gold? I am nuts about details enjoy vocals and slightly elevated bass on pop/Rock. I just go myself the Nio Galaxy and although I do enjoy the bass (a lot of fun), but I also find myself keep on going back to my Andro collections just to listen to details. Will the U12T be best of both worlds? I find MX module revealed details slightly more when bass is dampened, and I boosted volumes to match but details still no where close to Andromeda (and Solaris Mercury as well)

Any thoughts will be much appreciated. I am also debating whether to go A12t as my first ciem if the sound tuning fits me cup of tea!

I went with the Andromeda and then came back and got the U12T as well a year later. To me, who cares a lot of about soundstage imaging and resolution, the U12T is a complete improvement. However, the most important improvement to me were actually comfort (APEX vents), the overall sense of dynamic, and the fact that I don't have to worry about source hissing anymore. At the level of Andromeda and U12T, improvement in technical performance is going to be very fine-grained, so I wouldn't expect another jump of resolution when going from Andromeda to U12T like going from a budget or mid-fi IEM to Andromeda.

The Andromeda is very coloured comparing to the relatively "flat" U12T, so you might or might not enjoy such change in the tonality. I still keep the Andromeda for its coloured presentation (and it's my first kilobuck ever, so I think I would keep it for sentiment).

u12t vs u4s . anyone heard both? what is the difference technically and tonally?

I would also be interested in u6t vs u12t.
I own both U6t and A12t, and have demoed U4s a few times, hope I can help.

Firstly, I think all 3 are fantastic IEMs, each offering something a little different with various tradeoffs between them. Note that the differences I'll describe are not huge, they are all 64Audio IEMs after all, and share a common house sound.

The 12t is the best technically, it is the best at detail retrieval, and it has the largest, most 3D and spherical soundstage vs either of the 6t or 4s. The difference is not huge, and the comparison highlights "diminishing returns" in the hobby; you just gotta pay more for that last 5-10% or so. I often marvel at just how deeply I can listen into the music with my A12t, and I've really come to enjoy being able to use the this IEM to get a better understanding of how my favourite music was made. Which is a little strange to me now, when I started in this hobby I never thought of myself as being an "analytical" type of listener, but when I really want to get to know an artist or piece of music, the A12t is a great piece of kit for that.

Tuning-wise the 12t and 6t are rather similar, although the 6t is perhaps just a fraction more impactful in the bass. U4s tuning differs in that it is notably more sub-bass focussed, with less mid-bass and lower midrange warmth; probably the biggest difference is the dynamic driver that produces a more tactile, impactful sensation. This all has the effect of making the U4s more of a U-shape by comparison to the other 2, with treble that is also a little more emphasised, and a sound image that is pushed more towards the edges rather than focussed in the middle.

My own preference is for a warmer, smoother kind of sound, so the 12t and 6t are perfect for me. I use the A12t for more of a deeper, more focussed listen, and I keep the U6t as more of a daily driver paired up with the Apple dongle and my iphone or iPad. I've probably logged more hours with the U6t than any other IEM I own, just due to it's no-nonsense ease of use to just grab it and go with my phone, or working at my desk at home or the office with tunes in the background, zoom calls etc.

Couldn’t describe better. When I sit down and pay attention , I like the U12t since I listen deeper into the mix. When I do nothing but listening, more information keeps the listening session interesting.

Many thanks for the input! May I know which Andromeda you are comparing with? Andromeda OG or 2020? Or one of the special editions? Also, when you say u12t relatively "flat" tuning, do you think that the u12t tuning is more akin to Ara instead?
