I'm in the same boat except with the U4S - and I'm NOT getting an all BA IEM. It just doesn't compare to DD bass. But I would like some more detail/layered/separation than the U4s. I almost got the Nio's, but after reading reviews and talking to a few that had it, the NIO has a lot of mid-drivers, but the treble sounded too soft for me based on everything I read and discussed. I got the U4S because of the better treble detail, and I don't want less than the U4S give, so the Nio would not have worked. But I know I don't want BA bass. I want DD bass.
The Trios sound intriguing but two things - the price point. I don't want to pay over 2K, and no Apex tuning with that model. At this point if I am buying a high end IEM from 64 Audio, I am strongly leaning to one with Apex tuning.
