I always loved my Tia Trio a lot I praised them massively, until I got the Noir. I heard side by side also Fir M4 and M5, to me trio won easyily over the m4 and also wasnt affraid of the m5 challenge. Only thing that M5 excelled in my opinion was the vocals, very natural and open.
But always there was something strange with the m4 it didnt synergised well with my preference. Trio is a masterpiece of an iem, it can do impressive nuances when it goes from 1 nuance to the next it does it very uniquely, it feels like it goes into a deep black background and then suddenly it reappears. Has very clean and accurate fast visceral sound reproduction. Its very immersive experience, Trio's treble zing is also metalic and zingy but not siblant or painfull. I really loved trio it is my second best iem ever owning to date after Noir.
pw1960 4 wires is also 1 amazing pairing with trio it brings the trio to a new level of performance.
@mashuto You do remember what I said before
Trio is not same as the ier-z1r and I find they are better in sound timber then z1r, yes z1r is accurate and balanced very elegant bass thought harsher treble then trio I am sorry.
I think trio is a better iem and way more pleasant and fun, if needed it can be used with all type of genr of music without any issues! So there you go you now felt trio I can feel from what you are saying you lean more toward trio then the z1r's
