You know a product is good when you start listening at 1:30 AM and next thing your know it’s 5:30...

Using Nio + MX module with symbio L narrow bore tips, added bass and nice 3D stage. These are so good :)

In reference to the issue with Nio tips sliding off... the first set I received that had issue with the finish had less robust nozzles than the replacement pair I received. The initial pair would not hold any tips properly, not even stock included tips. The replacement hold all very well. This leads me to believe that either the nozzles may be ever so slightly out of spec on some, or the coating is not as thick, thinning out the nozzle.

Yes, that stops the sliding down issue. I haven't had sliding off issues with any of the Sedna tips, even Sedna short. So not sure what to suggest. The Sedna stems have a smaller diameter than the Spiral Dots so should take a bit of effort to put on, and then grip tight. You should maybe try one size down with the tips, could be they're gripping too tight in your ears.

Maybe take a short video of how easily they slide off and post it here.

I could try to size down from M to MS, I felt I got a better deal with M but I don't think the size may be the problem given how easily they slide off without even being in an ear.

Here's a short video. Slides right off with almost no pressure

Is anyone able to give a comparison between the Nio and the Trio?

You need to load the m20 once in a while just for the bass :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :smile_cat:

The Nio is my next purchase since the idea of an 8ba+dd is very appealing. I bought the Legacy 9, but didn’t like it because the sub-bass caused my ears to hurt, so I sold it. With the Apex technology, I don’t expect this to be an issue.

I’ve had the opportunity to listen to a friend’s tia Fourte and really liked it a lot, but the highs were a tad aggressive to me. The Nio, from the accounts I’ve read, seems like a really good fit.

Can anyone comment on whether Nios are shipping or is there a back order? Also, is the silver wire still being included? Thanks!

It depends where you order. My retailer (headphones dot com) still has a wait time of about one month still. Gotta be patient!

The silver cable promotion should be over everywhere though, since the orders opened almost a month ago.

The nio page on bloom audio still shows the cable promotion. Maybe each retailer was authorized to do a certain quantity that wasn't based just on a timeframe.

Yeah that looks like it slides off too easily. Also looks like you don't have it very far down the nozzle. In any case I have a pair on the way from Japan so I'll know soon enough.

i just tried Final E tips with NIO , seems also to be a very good match .. and the fit on the nozzle even tighter than the xelastecs , maybe worth a try for you guys with issues ...
