Hard to say to be honest. I liked the Vega and owned one, but I don’t listen to metal much. It was amazing for edm, Sigur Ros, etc. u10 is smoother but a little slower. Highs aren’t as good. I’d look into an Andromeda for metal, they’re super resolving and have a ton of instrument separation and less bass than Vega

U8 is way, way to basshead-y to me, moreso than the Vega. Vega has a lot of bass, but a lot of treble, as well. U8 lacks treble. U10 is one of the most balanced of 64s line up, besides U18.

Hmm...How about if I score a U12 on Black Friday vs the andromeda? Do you have any experience with the U12?

I know the U12 very well, but never heard Ando. However, based on every impression I've read, they are as far from one another as you can get in terms of signature. The U12 is super warm, laid-back, and lush. Ando is said to be sort of bright, aggressive, and detailed.

So is the sale valid for U18t or not?
On their Instagram it says U18t is excluded while on their website it is not mentioned...
