Lol, fair enough. I’m starting to get paranoid about switching my cables so much. I’m worried my 2-pin is going to get all crappy.

I have done it multiple dozens of times with all iems I reviewed, especially during cable rolling. Even if it gets a bit loose, you can just spread pins a tiny bit, to tighten the fit.

I've noticed with multiple in-and-out the 2-pin connection gets loose eventually. In that respects, I prefer mmcx connector type. Not sure why some IEM vendor insists on 2-pin type only.

Because MMCX is not rated for very many connects.

Yeah man MMCX are way worse, you connect them/disconnect them a lot and they will develop a bad connection

Didn’t you just say how you preferred MMCX? To be clear I also never said I have had any problems with 2-pin, but I was worried I would have problems if I continued to switch cables as much as I do.

Not all mmcx is created equal. The Campfire mmcx connectors are as sturdy as any connector I've seen, as are the ones from DHC.

I refuse to buy any iem with an mmcx connector

MMCX has its cons.

A notable one is that the tips on the cable side loses some materials with use and tend to become easily disengaged.
I had Shure 846 buds go missing, on two different occasion, which a good Samarian found and had in safe keeping,

Exactly! I lost a Shure that I never did find.

on a side note, which do you guys prefer? straight jacks or right angle jacks?

Right angle for a clip-on (e.g., Apple Shuffle)
Straight for anything else

And the same with Westone latest releases, they use new mmcx connectors which are a lot more robust. But 2pins are still dominating the market and more common with aftermarket replacement cables. There are some short mmcx to 2pin adapters, but they are not as practical (or I heard, not as comfortable).
