(regardless of personal preferences) ... top tier IEMs (that can be fixed and checked by a great-great manufacturer) are a tradable asset!Already had offers before making classifieds posting. Considering them now.

We can have a long debate on that "smart"... but I am a risk adverse person, in this case, to the benefit of my card issuer ...You are very smart. I want to do same but with another set of Trios.
Noticed that in your trade options, you had Trio as a possible target

I do think you are being smart. You love the Fourte and it's worth more than the money you paid. The only Pic I took before packing them up.We can have a long debate on that "smart"... but I am a risk adverse person, in this case, to the benefit of my card issuer ...

Trio is also an amazing sounding IEM ... highly regarded by top reviewers too!Yes I would trade the Fourte for another Trio in a heart beat. I do think you are being smart. You love the Fourte and it's worth more than the money you paid. The only Pic I took before packing them up.
Fully agree with that "You love the Fourte and it's worth more than the money you paid"... I wasted so much cash over the years rolling IEMs before finding the sound I liked. Now I can listen to music, and not to hardware, and that is ultimately good for the bank account too.
There are IEMs models being launched continuously but only very few make it to the very top of the rankings, and those that do so stay at the top for years and years ..

I don't think 64Audio would discontinue either as long as there was enough demand. I never want to be without a Trio and that is why I will get a 2nd set one day next year.
For those that don't know how 64 Audio does repairs:
Can take 2+ weeks. You pay both way shipping if not under warranty, one way if under warranty. The repair price is $75 to whatever tier your IEMs are in. For a Fourte it's $300. I would assume as I did not ask if shell was damaged it would cost more. You will be given a tech report with all findings and then can decide what you want to do. If repair is needed they will send you invoice link which you can pay the additional amount to upgrade from cleaning to repair.
Reason for 2nd pair do you want to be without your fav for 2+ weeks? I think 64 Audio would continue to fix any of its products as long as possible for them to do so.

Differently from many other IEM companies, 64 Audio is a supplier to a professional audience. Professional use, in any industry, requires maintenance and support and this is one of the great competitive advantages of 64A...I don't think 64Audio would discontinue either as long as there was enough demand. Cant say what would happen if a shell is damaged but, personally, I have always had my 64A IEMs fixed within the set cost of repairs.
I have recently forgotten my U12t at the office in Germany. I had a fit when I realized it (for a bit feared they may have fallen out of my laptop rug-sack in the taxi or at the security check) .... they are sill in Germany, safely locked away but it will take me another couple of months before I have a chance to pick them up.
Having a spare has some great listening hours value. A flight back to Germany to pick them up any earlier would cost me like buying a spare pair.

That is why you need one or more of these as you can cliip to your belt. Sorry you are without your U12ts. Still miss mine for some of my music tracks.Differently from many other IEM companies, 64 Audio is a supplier to a professional audience. I forgot about that their primary focus is on audio professionals and performers. We are a small part of their user base.

Clipping to belt is not a great option given that there are already way more important bits to pay attention to when traveling (e.g. passport and wallet) but thank you for the advice. Just need to check better the office room I am leaving and not do it in a rush as I did last timeThat is why you need one or more of these as you can cliip to your belt. Aside from that, no need to be sorry as I have an attitude to have spares

There is a reason why top professionals prefer some brands while other manufacturers just churn models on daily basis for a different type of audience.
We are lucky to have discovered 64A, have a liking for their sound quality, and to be able to afford their products.

I agree. I did not start getting serious about this hobby until early this year. I was lucky to have discovered 64 Audio before buying a bunch of sub top tier stuff. My first purchase was Se846s used for a really good price and next was the U12ts. Also bought Blessing3s new at $100 below msrp for outside house use. All I have now is 64 Audios and 2015 Se215s. My Trios never leave the house. I only have an apppotite for the best now.We are lucky to have discovered 64A, have a liking for their sound quality, and to be able to afford their products.

I have have more IEMs that I bother to remember and still have quite a few as a collection (this said I am mulling the idea of selling all that I do not actually use, some are mint in box that I really just bought out of collection / limited items driver).
