Just so you know, if both your APEX plugs arent out by exactly the same amount, you will get an image that is shifted to one side, ie one side with have greater sound stage. Just my two cents.

I actually fix that permanently on my a12t by using some extra o-ring underneath the plugs to lift both APEX by the same amount.

Thanks for your input. Just checked and both APEX modules are flush with the housing. I don't think the mids appearing suddenly is in anyway related to the APEX modules.

Yeah, I’ll take an LX and Odin, and Thummim, and Elysium, on, and on, over anything I've heard from 64.

IEMs have never worked for me due to tip sizes. So I've decided to try out some higher end ones, and then get a custom version.

Yeah, they were definitely going to make sure it worked out in the end, even if the journey there wasn’t what I hoped! Also their repairs are way way less than the discount in price, so even worse case scenario something happens out figuredof warranty, it’s again inconvenient but still a savings relative to sticker price. Glad the long story gave you some peace of mind!

How long did it take for your b-stock to be fulfilled/shipped from the day you ordered it. I'm obviously being impatient but I just figured wait time would be minimal in cases like this where presumwbly there's nothing for them to actually mske.

Also can anyone compare the depth of insertion of fourte/any 64 audio IEM to vision ears (which I consider pretty deep) or to other brands?

yeah...even without the cable...still a hard pill to swallow. Another case of bundling an expensive IEM with an expensive Cable pushing the whole market up.

Also true, but also (admittedly) worth it if you like the sound (which I do) and prefer IEMs to headphones (which I now do). The only reason I don't own it is because I can't afford it unless I sell my IEMs, and wouldn't want to have it as my only IEM.

It’s quite scary that $6k seems to be becoming the new normal for flagships. It’s going to get to the point where you think to yourself, shall I buy a brand new Porsche or save up a bit more money and buy the latest IEM?
