Yes i was talking about imod rockbox, because i find it absolutely tragic that a 600$ player is repeating itself all the time, that it sometimes cuts files just before the end.....
 
i just installed the new firmware, let's see how that helps. If not, this little machine is back on the market.

now cutting off in my case... as regards fw 2.3, finally love it, slow was only when update done, after i did reset to factory settings everything went superb, no issues.

Not as such, no...

But the headphone out at full volume is said to be equivalent to a line-out (something to do with the way the amp section works?...I'm not sure).

I can confirm that using the headphone out at max volume into an amp works really well.

Same for me, I love the sound of this thing but I need a good shuffle as at the start of the work week I usually just pop on shuffle and let it go 8 hours a day all week then start again the next week. I'm getting multiple repetitions of tracks each day. It's unacceptable. I may sell it and get something else soon if it's not fixed.. even a $300 iPod could do shuffle right.

i tried the shuffle issue with the new firmware....it's a bit better....A TINY bit......
