I dunno who Esther International is (the one with the $69 price), but I trust the $49 listing since it's sold by Lend Me Ur Ears. When buying IEMs like this, I trust the pricing of Penon Audio and Lend Me Ur Ears since they are very vocally official distributors of VSonic products.

I agree. I have purchased from LMUE's before and they are the real deal dealer. The $69 dealer is unreasonable.

My 2nd generation "illuminating" green VSD3s were obtained from LMUE too (Sold by Lend Me UR ears Singapore and Fulfilled by Amazon).

Frankly if I had spotted their listing of the 3rd generation 2016 model I would have commented on it as opposed to the $69 inflated listing Tom22 cited.

Still would like to read of impressions between the original and "re-tuned" flavors of the VSD3s :)

What's the best tip for the VSonic VSD3 S?

The best tip is the tip that sounds best to you,Its a personal thing. Jack might like 'this'tip, Jill might like 'that tip'. Because Jack and Jill went up the hill but don't have the same ears.

I've been curious about what size the VSD3s driver is.  All we get is a description:  "composite diaphragm CCAW (copper clad aluminum wire) dynamic (moving coil) driver."    Now some of their earlier models from several years ago indicated their drivers were 10.5mm or 11mm.   Anyone know definitively what mm size the VSD3S driver is?

Someone already opened the vsd3 and measured them: 10mm, the gr07 are 11mm (the drivers look different) about the tips, I use monster tips and I'm pretty happy with them but, as H2Ofidelity said: the best tips are the ones that works the best for you

Thanks!  Must have missed that.....

As for tips, I've been quite happy with the supplied silicons in medium.  Usually I prefer aftermarket to supplied, but in this case no need for me to look elsewhere.

I think those are something like vsonic is using :)

I don't think so although both are 10mm.  What you linked to has single vent holes around the circumference of the driver shroud.  This picture of the newest VSD3s shows a completely different shroud with multiple vent holes.  It's also not fully domed but rather a very deep pie pan like shape with a slightly recessed flat bottom.

Don't get me wrong but that's a 3d rendering, they don't look that fancy in reality.
