just got hd 560s for 145.00 from ebay, new unopened, rather than 169.00 from amazon, absolutely worth every penny, last headphones i had from sennheiser was hd 598, but these are amazing in FPS games, and that warm mild bass in music + spacious and detailed instruments separation winning me over akg k702 at least, considering dropping philips x2hr too, i have great awareness in games with 560s, maybe even better than with the previous two

And it would really benefit more from a balanced connection. I own HD660S as well and I know how balanced cable 4.4 improves the sound, detail retrieval is better, holography too

If a 1.2 metre balanced cable is not too short for you.....this is one I bought:

But, for those that don't already know, the 3 metre lead supplied with the 560S, is a 4-core cable (although, of course only 3 of those cores are used inside the 6.35mm TRS plug).
This means that if you're handy with a soldering iron (and are up to the challenge of working with Litz cable) then you can cut off the 6.35mm TRS and fit one of these:

When you cut off the moulded plug, leave enough cable to fit one of these sockets:

The idea being that you make an unbalanced connection to it, from your original 6.35mm TRS plug.....then, as well as a long, balanced cable, when you connect the 5-pole (4.4mm) plug and socket together, you've still got your original 6.35mm to 2.5mm 4-pole Sennheiser locking plug cable for unbalanced use, as shown top left below:

(Also a cheap way to use the original 3m supplied cable for balanced use - as well as retaining its unbalanced option).

Thanks but I don't think it's a quality product that would deliver sufficient audio parameters. I believe Sennheiser should release its own original and dedicated balanced cable for HD560S

Tested with Creative SXFI AMP (AK4377 chip) on a lenovo laptop, sound is warm, spacious, punchy, details and instruments separation insane, at volume 24/100 already loud enough, 2nd dac that is handling the cans very well. LG v50 & LG v50s also handling very well, high impedance mode kicks in right away, volume 42 of 75 is plentiful, quad dac working its ass off!

What it is, is a cable with a plug at each end which, believe me, delivers 'sufficient audio parameters'
As you no doubt saw, it's certainly not the price of a 'quality product'.
Perhaps you're concerned that it's Chinese-made. Well not sure about yours, but my 560S were made in China
There's one area in which I could come to regret the purchase
and that's the issue of durabilty - however, from what I've seen (and I usually make my own cables) there's no real problem there.What would be very interesting would be a blind test between it and any other cable to see how they compare for 'audio parameters'
For the record, I like Sennheiser, having bought loads of their products - but a balanced cable from them will not sound better than this cable.
However, I fully understand the theory that "more expensive must be better", "cheap must be inferior". It's a natural reaction - it's the theory that allows a company to retail an 'Audiophile' mains fuse for hi-fi components.
How much is it? £4,200 (seriously).....20,000 times the price of a standard fuse - so that standard fuse must be rubbish right?
(Actually, the standard one is B.S. safety approved, whereas the the audiophile one is not....but its 'audio parameters' are said to be special).

Yep, they pretty much endgame for me for gaming and movies.
Saved my ass on DayZ countless times by pin pointing positions just by audiocues.
When used for music i use the oratory eq first and run them through a hybrid tube amp (cheap mt602 xduoo) it gives them a great laid back signature i need for music.
Currently they are my daily beater for pretty much everything.

However they need some power to drive, 90 dB SPL this is not much at 120 ohms... If they don't get enough the sound lacks bass and is quite thin
