My favorite is still the AKG K-1000. No frills, minimalist and superb sound. I also love the Grado HP-1000 models and the Beyerdynamic DT48. Both have beautifully machined aluminum cups and fantastic build quality. Both are all business, as well, with no styling fuss.

I always thought the AKG K1000s looked ugly as hell. They look like two microphones put to your ear (I'm talking about those professional mics they use in studios).

The build quality of the DT48 is beautiful, but I think the DT48a are ugly as hell, heavy, and cumbersome, but still love them to death!! To me, the Q10/HE90/Omegas/Vintage AT look absolutely stunning and drool worthy.

Nothing is even close to comparable to the Sennheiser HD1000 Charleston
