^I am wondering about the quality control on the 8320, due to so many different opinions on sound.  Also as mentioned a billion times, eartips are so important too.^

Right now I am listening to Beck - Cold Brains > FLAC > Foobar2000 > FiiO E07K > 8320 > Foam Tips and they sound magical with a decent soundstage.

..

i think the problem is that there is no reference to judge by,,  not everyone is listening to the same material,,   no all recordings are good recordings,, and probably not everyone understands the meaning of soundstage and imaging ... im no expert and my only experience is from light competition in car audio SQ,,,     so im sure everyone will have a difference of opinion due to no reference to go by....   just my $.02

I don't think it will make a huge difference, you just need a good seal.

so if I get the meelectronics double flange, should I get the ones that fit M6 or the ones that fit M11+?

i havent tried different tips yet, but is it the material of the tips thats preventing the seal,, or is it the overall shape

The panasonic tips I used (mentioned above) are about the same type of material as stock monoprice tips, but they are slightly longer allowing them to be inserted deeper into the ear canal, so shape and length seems to be the issue for many people.  I tried some Sony tips that had a smaller hole opening and I noticed the soundstage seemed to be reduced with than with the panasonics, otherwise the shape of sony tips will work well too.

It's the shape, the drivers are 14.2 mm and the nozzle can be a bit short for some ears. The meelectronics double and triple flange tips work good. I also recommend the comply t-400 tips.
