Crazy thing is I have windows 7. I wonder if my computer can even run Windows 10

Windows 7 is great. Very solid...... I use it for all my pro PC applications.

Hey x RELIC x - Are you talking about Brian at BTG Audio for the cable work?

Actually I don't know if his name is Brian or what company he's with or just an enthusiast who does good work. His Head Fi user name is [@]cCasper TFG[/@] and he showed me a bunch of examples of his work after I commented on his dual entry K550 mod. Thought his work looked good.

I realize I've never posted a pic of my actual Lab..............

Here she be!!

This is where I spend my days churning out crud.

I could really use some matte black headphone stands with stainless steel accents though.

Windows XP64bit running on the left

Edit: One day I'll post the reverse side when it's a bit cleaned up.

Audeze fan huh. How are they with the HA-1? I almost got a HA-1 in a trade, but someone offered me something else instead and i took it.

Started with the LCD-2 and wanted a closed pair. Enter the XC. I like Audeze but not allergic to other brands.

HA-1 is better with the LCD-2. The XC (my pair) has a weaker bass than others I've tested and also compared to other XC graphs I've seen, so with the HA-1 it can be slightly dry (much better balanced though, better dynamics for sure). Still the detail retrieval is just smile inducing and the speed of the combination is amazeballs. Looking at the Cavalli Liquid Carbon right now. should be a good match as well. I just can't stop trying different gear.

Also trying to get some synergy with the IEMs, though the HA-1 can drive them with almost no hiss, and it sounds amazing, I just ordered the new ALO Rx to stack with the DAP. should be here Thursday.

Have you tried the LCD-3 or EL-8?

Yes and yes. I liked the LCD-3, but I got most of what it gives minus the big bass in the XC. Plus I preferred the imaging on the XC much more and needed a closed back. The el-8 was good as well, but not up to the LCD line.... as expected. I'm a little cautious about the new connectors.

Meanwhile im chilling more on the Hifiman camp. The thicker and darker tonality of the Audeze arent really for me. Admittedly I havent heard the LCD-X or XC. Saint Louis needs a headfi meet of some sort...

Yeah, we're all build different and prefer different signatures. Audeze has moved away from thick and dark over the last couple years. I like HiFiman as well for its strengths. Itching to hear the HE-1000!! Headphonebar will be getting them in. Gotta make a trip when not so busy.
