Welcome to the 850 express.  I can`t speak to CIEMs, but I can say that the FX850 enabled me to sell my Shure SE846 without a moment`s hesitatation.

For listening at home (or similar relatively quite environment), I agree. But for the Gym, Plane & other such places where noise isolation is necessary, I prefer the SE846 over the FX850.

I agree that the 846 has great isolating ability, and the 850 does not.

Still looking at the FX750/850, just unsure about comfort and whether the sound sig fits coming from the Carbo Tenore. I know they're obviously bigger than the Tenore, but I've had things like SoundMAGIC E10, JVC HA-FX101 and the Carbo Basso that have fit my ears fine.

I just did a comparison of the FX850, K3003 and IE800. TL;DR? The FX850 was my favourite. Wow, how did I only find out about these now?

Great comparison !  I loved this line : "Oh, the bass. It's punchy with great detail and rhythm. This a warm, enveloping bass that's both tight and textured. Simply wonderful."

I completely agree with all you said about the 850 and the IE800.  (I have yet to hear the AKG)

The FX850 is truly remarkable. . .

Glad you liked it. Now I need to read up on the mods in this thread to see if I can remove some of their warmth, before I decide whether to get them.

Welcome to the club! Now that's one more fellow Singaporean here with us. @james444 would be our guru for all the tinkies winkies on the FX850, tbh i am completely intrigued by his V2 mod. V1 was meh, probably because i didn't think that was crazy enough- until he floored me with the V2 Mod.

(if only i have the legendary disney straw to try out the mod

(P.S. Agreed with the edgy treble of the K3003 on a treble filter, there was once i tried it on without filter out of curiosity via my former Hisoundaudio Studio-V 3rd ANV. Oh boy never am i gonna try that again... if ear-piercing treble is the holy grail then the filter-less K3003 is probably the Chuck Norris of Sibilance)

Because of the shallow fit I can't even feel the housing of the 850 and I use medium tips for everything. I haven't heard the basso, but I can't imagine an IEM sounding better than this! I will go on a whim saying it will have just as much bass as the basso or more, but of much higher quality and it doesn't interfere with the mids. I'm sure the 850 is brighter, from what I remember the basso is considered to be pretty smooth.

Hey guys, where do you guys bought this IEM from? Amazon JP by third party seller? Will they provide the 1 year warranty like jvc did??

I got mine through Amazon.com from a seller named J-Made. Price was fair (although it looks like price has gone up recently). Shipping was lightning quick from Japan to central Texas. Communication was good. Got a few nice origami items and a handwritten thank-you note.

Currently i don't see any seller with that name. Now im torn between buying it on The Grace or Joshin Web. I'm just worried about the warranty though. Have phobia with another set of IEM last month.. lol Luckily is covered by Amazon Jp since its sold by them self.

I'm assuming you're looking for the 850 and your buying in the US. If so, I see it listed right now.
