Thank you! I’ll explore my local store. I will just bring one to compare with what they stock.Regular hardware stores have them in Norway at least. I bought a box with a lot of different sizes to test.

Cool I'll get some and do some testing. I twisted the the screw while holding the bottom one and that seemed to fix it for now. It`s probably because the O-rings get to tight and pull the frame together. Try with some bigger O-rings, but that will make the headphone ride lower though.
Now that everyone is talking about bass, have you tried The Haxan Cloak's Excavation on the 1266? It's a very intense experience I would recommend.

Listening to Currents of Odai - Brad Derrick. T+A Dac 200 (pcm, bez 2) -> Niimbus US4+ -> Abyss ab 1266 phi tc. Sound is incredible. This whole album is worthwhile.
It's 2024 can't believe I have owned 1266 TC for 5 years! And still, never ceases to amaze me. I've built my system around 1266 TC, and it paid off well. 1266 TC is like no other headphones. Once you listen to music through it with a proper setup, you will find other headphones sound flat, at least in my experience.

Add to that the massive soundstage and pinpoin imaging, layer upon layer sound of music instrument to truly immerse you into the music.
It's strange that they are that long on market and still are are TOTL.

What bugs you about it?I’m probably overly picky, but the dual cable approach really bugs me. Luckily, it is easily resolved with a cheap sleeve and a bit of electrical tape.

If you like the look of a twist.
So, I've been using my WA33 EE JPS as a pre to my CFA3 now, instead of my now sold 3ES. The with the TCs, the bass extended lower and is more prominent with the 300B 3ES. The WA33 and it's 2A3 tubes, etc., are more 3D for sure though. It brings a more tubey sound too. The bass is a little worse, but not terribly so. I need to listen to the WA33 as a pre more, but I think I preferred the 3ES as a pre, with the 300B tubes. I may try to get a dedicated 300B pre

It’s clumsy, unwieldy and difficult to manage, I can’t think of anything positive about it. A decent sleeve would be an easy addition, especially at the price it is.

Neat, but it reduces the length of the cable which isn’t ideal given the price per inch of the SC cable.
