Bad day over here, as I was changing out and testing cables for my JH16's and a pin broke off inside one of the IEMs. Anybody had this happen before, and how did you remove the broken pin? Time to call JH Audio, likely.

I have had it happen twice over 2 years...I use them a ton so lot's of abuse. Both times back to JH. quick turn around each time. One time was free as they were able to work the pin out. The other was about $100 as they had to replace the connector. No complaints from me. great work done both times.

I wonder if is this thread still alive? If so I would like to ask if the JH16 and Fiio X5 pair would be good? I intend to not run it with a dac/amp since I'm always on the go. Thanks!

I have never used the X5. My JH16's do a decent job with my iPhone and really shine with a good DAP like an AK120 mkII.

JH16 is sounds good paired with X5. Your don't need an exra DAC/amp with it.

  I won't say K10 is superior to JH16. They win each other on different aspects.
 
K10 is more musical, less source sensitive while Jh16 is more engaging and lively (stage use). I use jh16 for pop music and k10 for ballad.
 
Roxanne's sound is too thick, I would think of senn HD650.

 
K10 and JH16... I'm can't decide between these two.
Can you compare them a bit more? What is your go to piece?

Went home and dusted off my audio technica Ath-esw9 headphones and they treble was quite clear too.


I realized it was because of the massive bass hump in the JH16s.5 years of not listening to anything else made me forget how much bass the JH16s had. Now I feel that the bass is covering the treble.

I don't usually use the EQ to tame the JH16's bass as im fine with it.But perhaps you can send it to JHAudio and have them retune for you?

I got a whiplash Twag2 cable and they helped clean up the sound a bit. The bass is punchier and able to hear a more detailed sound. I  hope this helps!

I didn't know that was an option! Maybe when the time comes for a remold, I'll ask for the bass to be at the level of the JH13s.

What is the best (top 3) DAP for JH16 Pro? I am thinking of getting a DAP for my JH16 Pro.
