I need some help w the rock box platform. It's a pretty simple and basic question but does anyone know how to make a simple play list on Rock box? It's ridiculous. Just simple step by step redementary instructions.
Yes, it's true, both DX50 and DX90 are being discontinued. Someone posted it as 'rumour' obviously from word of mouth (someone) then Paul iBasso confirmed its true.
Like howdy mentioned, iBasso also said when asked 'they will release more DAPs'
Ok. It`s good news actually. Maybe they will not use those crappy sounding Jovial caps on the new "DX5x" and use also some better other components too.
One thing though, I really wish they will stick with that 3-button control design for using without touchscreen. Also NO scrolling wheels please!

Please tell me the touch-scrolling ballistics will be improved to vaguely modern standards before a new line of DAPs starts getting all the devs' attention...
Just updated my DX50 from 1.6.0 to 1.9.3! Haven't had the time to evaluate the improvement in sound but in the usb settings, I notice that there are 4 categories: storage, charging only, USB DAC for PC/Linux, and USB DAC for Mac.
So, if I were to use my DX50 as DAC from my mac, all I need to do is set sound to DX50? So no need for USB driver for mac computers?

Tried version 1.9.3 and the bug with the playlists has been resolved only for the export function in the DX50. On the import it still cannot import any file that contains a single tick in the string. Example "Knockin' on heavens door". C'mon iBasso....
Nice to see some Linux support for the DAC, this was my secondary reason for getting a DAP that had the functionality. Plugged into an Ubuntu box, and although I do get this in dmesg:
[1651609.960019] usb_audio: Warning! Unlikely big volume range (=7248), cval->res is probably wrong.
[1651609.960024] usb_audio: [2] FU [PCM Playback Volume] ch = 1, val = -7264/-16/1
it worked without anything more than reconfiguring which audio output I'm using. Cheers, Ibasso.
Picked up another Opened box DX50 for £123. Bit of good luck. Anyone got a link to SU 1.3.3 i can use again. I see 1.9.3 is out is it better then SU or not.
