Then try some custom FW`s... You won`t be disappointed

Also, maybe I already asked but what mSD card are You using? Some ppl got rid of stuttering and other problems when changed card.

Doc's Final Favorite Firmware is unbelieveable. Totally transforms the player. I tried 1.6.0.... it is probably the best ibasso has done, but there also seems to be something lacking to me. These third person firmwares saved the player IMO.

Never had such issue with any stock FW up from 1.2.8 neither with custom FW`s.

The answer to everyone who wonders if they should try a new firmware is.... YES! Know why? we all like a slightly different sound so what I like you may not. We can all decide on the 'bad' ones fairly well, but in terms of the 'best' one, that is up to you, and only you can decide after you try it! so yes, you should try NDFFF

It only takes 4 minutes and you'll know pretty quickly if you like it more or not. I tried 4 new FW's over the weekend, 1.6, SU1.4, DNFFF, and another of Docs that I forget. I gave each a listen for a couple hours and moved on.

So far, I really like SU1.4, NDFFF, or NDFFv1 as my favorite firmwares. They each shine with slightly different music. Overall, I'd stick with Sound Unlocked 1.4 or New Docs Favorite Firmware Final

Haven`t had time yet to try SU 1.4

...busy testing different HO capacitors with SU 1.3.3 atm

But I agree on NDFFFinal & NDFFv1 - they are very good. Imo NDFFFinal is best of DOC`s yet. If I get right capacitors finally, then I think it will be end-game combination ;P ...though, like I said, I haven`t tried SU 1.4 yet.

Sound Unlocked has "Hidden" bootup menu. To access it You must:

1) Turn OFF DX50
2) Slide HOLD button to ON/LOCKED position
3) Turn ON DX50 while hold button is still ON/LOCKED position
4) You will lauch into bootup menu where You can select different settings. Choose what You prefer.
I recommend to start with FLAC/irr off/cpu default (for large airy soundstage) or FLAC/irr on/cpu 312 (for more intimate/foward soundstage)
5) Slide hold button to OFF position and player will return into UI using settings You selected. They will stay regardless restart/turn on-off until You change them.

Have fun!

Btw, just finished updating my capacitor test-bed (made it more compact) so I could still carry DX50 with me
