The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016

Every month they seem to lose their site for a few days.  Try again in a few days.  Otherwise, I guess you could use the Sound Unlocked FW and keep it on stock.

I keep the original download .zip of 1.5.0 on my HD for when I want to reinstall it.  Saves the aggravation of going to iBasso and they are off-line again.

Thank you for your info..

olddude, I`m still wondering why Your DX50/mSD card deletes playlist files and mine doesn`t? Any idea?

No, at least my DX50 doesn`t do that  I remove it all the time while power is ON to add new stuff with card reader.
But if the card is out and then you re-power,

Haven`t tried this. Will try and report back.

EDIT: Just tried and playlists are still there and working fine even after reboot with card out!

And just tried again, to be sure, removed card while DX50 is ON, added some music from PC, didn`t touch playlist involving files/folders, put it back while DX50 is ON,
did media scan and Playlists were still there and working fine. New music was added with all the album art and tags and plays nicely.

For the record - I`m using Sound Unlocked 1.3.3

EDIT2: Even after I rearranged some folders and deleted some, playlist is still there and plays files that were untouched. But that was with USB cable not removed card.
Just happened to do like that and sharing info

No idea.  Just tried again, popped the card while DX50 was on, put it back in, ran rescan, playlist was still there.  But a couple of days ago I did the same and it wasn't.  Maybe I'll reinstall my firmware.

Hey, has anyone else tried the import playlist feature on Sound Unlocked? I got it to import a playlist the very first time I tried it, but now i can't get it to import anything. I was just wondering if any of you guys had tried it out and had more success than me? I'm on 1.3.4, but I had the exact same experience on 1.3.3 as well.

The "Import playlist" doesn't work if your drive has exFat system.

Anybody have info about shorter digital interconnect cables?  What iBasso includes is a big loopy thing; I want the same 3.5-to-rca cable but about 1/3 the length.

Can anyone point me to a source/discussion ?

Thanks,

Looks like they are putting a new screen on the next iteration of the dx50 - a 2.4" ips tft.  Not sure what else is new....

Just got mine in the mail.  Is there already a screen protector on the unit?  my box came with two and the unit already has a "peel off" plastic protector on the screen.  However, I cannot tell if there is actually a screen protector already applied (great workmanship if there is!).

Quite old info...
Update: 07/29/2013
The Screen is changed from 2.31" TFT to 2.4" IPS TFT
The retail price will be in the 235~270USD range.
Estimated launch date: Aug 20th, 2013

- 2.4" IPS Screen(320*240) with Capacitive Touch Screen, Bonded by OCA

I already have last version  Pitty there are no screen protectors with little larger size yet... have tried 3 different ones and all are for older version. But they still do ok
