Even better than the DAC section of the hm901?? Or are they on the same level, just with different signatures?

I never tried the line out from the HM901 and have sold it now. Although, I will probably buy another 901 down the road..........

Back to the DX50, a little hiss with my FitEar C435..........

Should pair nice with warmer to dark sounding headphones and IEMs. Has anyone tried it with either the SE5 or 1plus2? I feel the sound might be a bit too aggressive paired with the 1plus2... Thanks.

Aye, Heir Audio 8.A seems perfect fit, I think.

This is quite a surprise to me, I did not expect too much but the Spiral Ears SE5 sounds remarkably good with the DX50.

This is definitely on my radar. Initial impressions look positive. Now to wait for the in depth reviews and the response from ibasso regarding the issues pointed out on the other thread.

If you listen to classical music, how does it sound with symphonies and orchestral work? Symphonies are perhaps the most demanding for clarity, separation and stage. Try Brahms' 1st piano concerto and Chopin's 1st piano concerto - listen to the very beginning parts of both 1st movement. Let me know if congested. Sorry too much to ask.
