Hello, would a DAP like Shanling M0 Pro or Hiby R2 II can be used as a BT DAC in addition to being a standalone DAP? Would appreciate if anyone can help here. Thanks in advance.
M0 Pro can be used as Bluetooth DAC. But keep in mind that it's one of its extra features, it will not be as capable or stable as dedicated UP4 Bluetooth DAC.

Can you please explain why it would be the case from the technical side. Something is wrong with BT receiver used?

To put it simply, Bluetooth chips in our UP line are just more advanced and the overall design is focused on it working as Bluetooth receiver.

This is probably my last cry of despair :). What happened to the availability of Qudelix 5K and ES100 MK2 on the European market (especially in Poland). For over 11 months, I have not seen any offers of these BT AMP/DACs outside the manufacturers' company websites and possibly Amazon. Is it some supply chain issues, EU import restrictions??? I would really like to buy one of these two devices but they are inaccessible like the K2 mountain in winter :). I am counting on the response of manufacturers' representatives in this thread.

You had me worried for a moment. The ES100 (I own one) is indeed available in the EU via Amazon. Is that not enough?

What are some of the new upcoming bluetooth headphone adapters ? I have a iFi GoBlu - but am interested in the new AK - and other competitors.

The new from AK is using an aged SoC... I wouldn't get it at any cost :/
Agree, but especially true when you consider the asking price. AK is not known to make high value product, but the new BT adapter is probably the worst offender of the all.

Sad that this space is pretty stale then.

There are a few minor brands released, but nothing worthy of real attention like those of yesteryear.

After starting with the BTR3k, BTR5, UP5 and lastly BTR7 (ordered the Go Blu not received yet) I just got my hand on my first dongle dac, namely the Truthear Shio. Color me impressed. Really great sounding and powerful device. Being quite small and light its very useable (given not the same use case as bt devices).

I've wanted to try the UP5 - is the firmware as bad as people say ?

Here is something more exciting: BTR15.

ETA in one day (China), priced just around US$100 or so, pretty much a slimmed-down, simplified BTR7 with small implementation improvement
