The HeadAmp GS-X and GS-X MK2 Thread

If I wanted to move the power supply about 12 feet from the amp using a long DC cable, is this OK? If so, where would I get such a cable.
And I guess it's been asked, but is stacking the 2 units OK (with no other components on the stack of course)?

Justin can custom order one.

Yes you can stack it but with sensitive cans you will hear a low level hum.

When I asked ways back the cords were all made at once so if you want another length it would be custom and take time.

NO, stacking is NOT OK !  RTFM once you get your package

The entire purpose of having an external PSU is to reduce any negative influence on the amp itself.

Thanks. Is the DC cord a standard configuration or something that needs to be ordered from Justin? Is there a formal name for it? Thanks again.

The standard is about 3 or 4 feet, don't know for sure and it's called "umbilical".

I stacked my GS-X mk2 from the first run the entire time I had it.  No hum at all, I was using the HD800, HE-6, LCD-3C, T1s - even the TH900 and Denons had no him..  I might have been there, I just didn't hear it.
