Sounds great but there are sometimes compromises involved in features like 2 dig streams. I'm not raining on this parade as I'm also quite interested but everything involves trade offs. Dual mono chips = less battery time etc. I only hope that Fiio chooses based on performance instead of appeasement.

I actually think he may have been referring to having a separate dac chip and opamp, rather than an integrated audio codec with inbuilt spdif receiver, MUX, PLL and headphone amp like most mobile devices these days. II may be wrong there and did consider the meaning you took as well.

dual mono dacs with a single shared power supply and single ended output with shared signal ground would be of dubious benefit, but apart from, battery life probably wont cause any harm. most minijacks have enough crosstalk to undo any extra separation, so you only have the potential 3db better DNR/SNR.

individual amp chip (AD8397)

Feiao , please make all of us happy by adding SDXC memory card support. Thank you very much.

I have not said it does not support SDXC , we will report the result when we test it in the future.

Wow, this is wonderful news. With so many DAPs coming out, or soon out and to mention here:
iRiver AK 100, Terra player, iBasso,Pono, and others, I rather wait for X3 , eben if it takes 6 months.
Thank you Feiao for listening and taking into consideration, the requests of your costumers, regarding this much anticipated DAP.

Feiao could you guys include dual micro SD card slots like the new iRiver player is doing? That would be extremely nice and versatile. Just make sure the output impedance is less than 1 ohm ;).

Output impedance less than 1 Ohm is very important to give a linear frequency response with difficult loads like Balance Armature drivers. And also this will be good for just low impedance 16 Ohm earphones and IEMs. But I'm really not concerned about this. As far as according to some measurements (can't post a link to the source because of forum rules) Fiio E7 has output impedance of 0.13 Ohm. Also according to ClieOS reviews output impedance of Fiio E7 is 0.2 Ohm and Fiio E17 has 0.6 Ohm. So i guess Fiio have much experience in designing a good headphone amplifier. Don't worry guys.

The most important please Fiio make sure the firmware to be bug free and running smoothly. Fancy design and effects for UI isn't necessary if it will cause any bugs or issues when operating DAP.
No problem if interface will be plain and simple if it can help bring stable, fast and bug free usage. It is far more important to make this DAP a pleasure to use and deal with. This may bring some extra costumers that aren't aware of SQ that much and just want a fancy player on the go. Also this will make head-fi'ers happy.

but made the DX100, although it has one of the best SQ out there, one of my worst experiences with a dap. gape-less playback that do not work, when changing a song manually, a 5 second delay, sound inconsistencies between a version and another, and the maker kept on refuting that a difference in SQ exists............

Please Fiio, test the software and don't sell us a buggy dap.....

This is probably a very good example. A very powerful and hi quality hardware is spoiled with buggy software. Even for head-fi'ers SQ is not everything. Look at Teclast T51, yes it sounds very good, but that awful UI is ruining the whole experience of using it. Sure there are other examples.

Please Fiio consider this and take your time to work on firmware. Even if it takes longer for X3 to come out. It will be woth it with bug free firmware and simple good looking UI.

Those that say and think that SQ is everything from a portable device need to sit down and think. If they did, I reckon they'll all find that's a delusional view. In day to day reality it's not the only thing that is important and anyone who says it is just telling porkies.

I don't get your point CSM. If you are not an audiophile or you don't prioritize audio quality on the go then good for you. This player is meant to appeal to that very market and I don't think it's wrong to ask for a decent UI with excellent sound quality.

sure we will test the firmware before we release it. our QC team have 15 person includes 5 engineer.

also we will invite some user to help us test the firmware before trail production.

about the UI, it is very simple. not picture, video play, record, radio so we can focus on audio
