Hi does the X3II recognize replaygain tags on my files? or do I have to manually level the volume using a software? thanks!

- is the maximum volume of the units sold in Europe limited in any way? (e.g. a la iPhone, iPad..)
- does the software recognize pre-emphasis flags (PE flag) in the .cue sheets and apply the needed deemphasis?
- does the software support .cue sheets containing multiple source files?

Kind of a stupid question but, when in DAC mode, does x3 II work only as a dac or as a dac+amp? To put it differently, would I be able to plug my earphones to x3 and listen directly from it when connected to a pc?

Yes, you can listen headphones and I bet you'll like it!
If you'll plug into headphone out, you'll got DAC+amp, if you'll plug to line out, it will be DAC only.
