I bought an X3ii second hand.(right now it's still in transit) I'm curious how is the battery after 2(3?) years of use & how difficult is it to get a replacement battery for it?

Getting the battery should be done as a piece, FiiO doesn't really ship batteries AFAIK, it makes problems with customs in certain countries.

I think FiiO might still be able to change it for you if you send it to them though :)

Anyone knows a cheap, but working replacement COAX/spdif cable?

I'm thinking that instead of sending it to China from EU, I could just get a comparable battery here and just put it in & use it.
I'm in the exact same boat. I got my used X3ii yesterday, and bought a generic battery to replace the old battery. I'm wondering about the two red and two black wires and what they are exactly .. are they just 2 positive and 2 negative wires? Can I just splice into them with the single thicker positive and single negative wire provided with a generic battery? I need info and scoured the forums to no avail.

Dear friend,

Yes, Red for positive and black for negative. You could splice the 2 postive/negative with the single wire.

Best regards

Thank you SO much! It's an amazing device. Turns out the battery is running well after a discharge and recharge, but I expect to do this eventually

@FiiO...

...could you please take a look at my post in the X5 II thread?! The X3 II is equally affected by the reported issue.
Dear friend

The X5II has stopped production for some time. If there is no major bug that might influence the function of X5II, the FW2.1 will be the last update and there will be no further firmware for X5II afterwards.

Best regards

If there is no major bug that might influence the function
But if such bug exists it influences the usability of the EQ and therefor the player. Or do you see that differently @FiiO ?
