you should use cue tools as it is better medieval also encodes the file again so the md5 file changes and cue tools also verifies the files exactly , although there is a big letdown  as it cannot process more than red book standard 44.1khz /16 bit , I always resample as 24  bit and higher than 44.1 to me is a waste of space , so to me it not bad at all , but if you have some 44.1khz songs you should try it out  : http://cue.tools/wiki/CUETools_Download

also foobar can split the files as well but it is a bit more tedious , any ways try both of the ways.

this is the proof that medieval is bad  : https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,57563.0.html#entry683198

Thank you, I liked foobar2000. It's great!

@FiiO I got my X3-II today. I purchased from Aliexpress Official FiiO Store. Is this updated current firmware? One more thing, should I do something to use this for my Windows desktop computer?

Dear Mustainized,

You can check the firmware version for your X3II from the system settings---about X3. Generally, the firmware version of the X3II you received is FW2.0 already.

One more thing, should I do something to use this for my Windows desktop computer?

If you need the use the storage mode, you are required to switch the USB mode to storage in system settings and insert a TF card in the X3II first. Then you can collect the X3II with your computer using a USB cable, and copy the files to the TF card in the X3II.
If you need the use the DAC mode, you are required to switch the USB mode to DAC in system settings and install the DAC driver first. Then you can select X3II as sound device in your computer.
You can download the DAC driver from: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qqz14rnt6at8q1o/FiiO%20USB%20DAC%20Driver%20v3.34.0.zip

Best regards

I've already dropped my songs to my card and inserted to X3II. Flawless. Asked the DAC function. Thanks!

My impressions about X3ii with my lossless archive on foobar2000 (USB DAC):
Two words: Simple, phenomenal.

Still my man DAP (paired with E17K) for most of my review testing.  One of the best overall value propositions on the market still.

Heard an X3ii in depth today.

This thing deserves more recognition! It sounds awesome and it's not too expensive!!!

This thing is really really good. People who ignore it - like I was - lose a lot!

X3ii has form size, price, sound quality, DAC, convenience on it's side!

I mean, in it's price range, it's a no brainer. It sounds and works amazing!

Yah, the x3ii is dope.

It can really let an IEM shine to a high potential.

I agree. The only thing I'd complain about is the tiny skip it does between songs. Gapless playback isn't too great.

How do you use the OTG option on the FiiO x3ii?
