That would be awesome, man, I'd definitely love to be able to read the full review with more than just the numerical measurements they did!

Not that I really NEED to read a review of the X3ii, since I myself have it already and find the sound totally awesome (ESPECIALLY given the price, seriously), but I'd just be interested to see what the guys at Hi-Fi World had to say about it

You're not the first to ask about the X3ii themes lately. I've seen a bunch of posts around wondering where they are, so out of curiosity I looked and I can't find any. Surprised as custom themes for the X1 and even the X5ii are already available. Nobody wants to get creative?

the trial production will be start in this month and we will show the X7 in HK audio show. it is our first DAP based on Android and trusted me that we are trying our best to make it work better than other Android DAPs.

OOOOOOOOH, that is so exciting!  It's going to use dual Sabre ES9018 chips, correct?  And will have wi-fi access and a higher-res screen and stuff?  At least that's what I think I remember reading before.  Honestly that's a bit unnecessary for me though, I have no desire for wifi in my music player, so I kind of wish it wasn't going to have that. . .I have a feeling that if it didn't have the wi-fi and such an incredibly nice display for a DAP, you guys would be able to make it a bit cheaper

Yeah it's going to be waaay more expensive than the X3ii, but I might just HAVE to upgrade to it someday   It sounds like it'll be such a nice device.

I think that is a good decision.  I would love to have an Android DAP more than any other kind of DAP.

Dude shhhh lol you no give ideas xD, wi-fi may not be needed but at least we can use tidal properly.All so for the display size I think the quality aspect is a good thing, they're about creating well built products. I think the price was 1k or something which really isn't expensive at all. It is very cheap considering the specifications, I was looking at A&K for awhile for a next big upgrade but now price/spec wise the X7 blows it out of the water. My only question would be how DSD is decoded, esp since they're going to support the newer high capacity sd cards we can store more high-res files. 

Other than that if you don't need the features meet em' half way with x5II, but the thing there is from my observations is that is more detailed prone and X3II is smoother so is more of personal choice. Then the x7 is A. cause you can or B. Cause you believe those features are an asset not a burden .... Personally I would have bought X5II instead if I knew that then. Any ways super excited to see what comes after the X7 and yes obviously the II but I mean for third gen. Was the X1 Phased out now? Will X3 be phased out? Will only X5 be third gen? How about the X9 will it be able to play 64 bit media, and do the moon walk for us?

I think that would be a breach of copyright, James could maybe contact his UK distributor (test unit supplied by Advanced Players Ltd., they don't even have the review on their site - bit slack) and see what they could get.(?)

Hey, is it just because this forum is sponsored every one is tight nit about copyright law? I've all ready had a dispute revolving around this unintentionally. Generally I believe if material can't be provided directly from external parties you should at least be able to discuss said material in any way you wish. It is at the end day up to the users/readers discretion of what they do with said information. :/ I don't know, just an opinion. There are enough opinions going around to fill all the worlds bodies of water ten fold.

I'm trying to use the Fiio x3ii as a DAC from my HTC One M8 to stream Tidal, Spotify, etc,so I purchased an OTG cable and tried the USB Audio Player Pro app, but it didn't work.

Customer service from the developer was prompt and courteous, but their app can't work with streaming services.

Just sharing this in the event anyone anyone else is trying to use the Fiio x3ii in the same manner.

From their cs rep:

"Dear X,

Thank you for contacting us. You can only play audio that you can select from within the app, so streaming services are not possible."

I was so confused reading this at first, jeeze need to sleep more. Uhm you could try purchasing an amp, I use aux output for such needs.
