beginning to feel i might back out of this order, it's a shame, wish Fiio just let us have a voucher we can just use locally with authorized dealers.

What are your experiences with Aliexpress in general?

I did some googlolologling about them, and some people say they have waited ~50 days for products to ship? I assume it depends on the seller, but stil.

Aliexpress is Alibaba's E-bay. So it really depends on the seller. Some of the buyers here who were first on getting on the deal have paid and already have tracking information. I don't think FiiO will take your money and sit on it from their reputation as a company. Mr Joe Smith's electronics shop located in Shenzen however, I would think twice.

Is there a reason you can only buy from Aliexpress? Treoo is one of Fiio's retail partners. And thanks for the info Beankurt.
I read 15-40 days shipping to Canada on Aliexpress when I checked it out yesterday.

There's a deal for previous x3 owners only available through FiiO via AliExpress.

Sure, I know what Alibaba is. I have been using eBay since it launched and I've never had someone take 50 days to ship something.

Sounds like the deal's still available? If so, maybe I'll try to nab one when I'm back in town Wednesday and put it up for grabs for some poor sucker from WA

Hard to say if you place an order now it will process through at $159.99.  The AliExpress states 81 / 200 left at this time.  I assume there are still purchases left they are verifying, so there may be a queue waiting for verification.

But, that would sure be a nice thing to do for those from WA!

Oh I didn't realize it was only Aliexpress honoring that deal.

To my understanding yes.

Welp, it's official folks. I'm out of the X3 run as I just purchased a Sony Walkman, my inner Sony fanboy-nism is jumping with joy. My face, stone cold smile.

Which one? Curious to hear your thoughts on its sound signature as an X3 owner...

Does anyone have any thoughts on a small micro USB OTG MicroSD card reader that may work with the X3 2nd gen?  I am looking for something compact.

Thoughts on this one?

Doesn't work with X5, so I'm betting it doesn't work with the new X3, either. It does work with my DX90, but it's quite power-hungry and cuts battery life in half :(
