Are there any details out on the X5 II yet? I don't really like the hardware control layout on the X3 II and X5.. the buttons are all over the place. I prefer them at the side next to each other for quick easy use.
I rather jump the X5 II and go for the X7 though

All I know is that James mentioned the X5 II in at least one of his posts.

Usually we will upgrade our DAP after it is released one and half year. it is not a secret.

They have to update their products because every other company does. If they don't they won't be in business for long.

im wondering if James can compare the SQ of the x3 II to the x5. Or how will it differ from the SQ of the "old" x3.

I found these pictures of the new X3 on Fiio's Facebook page. I don't think they were posted before but it's interesting that on the back it says X3K whereas James said it will be called the X3 or X3 II, same name but different serial number. Maybe this is just a prototype.
