I have to say that it sounds awesome with UM Miracles - I have some really well-mastered albums and they really shine. This is a shockingly good pairing imo. I'm almost kicking myself for ordering a Geek Wave (no, I am kicking myself, but for other reasons).

  The A17 is indeed interesting, but I have no clue what DAC chip is they use, and is it going to replace the current F-Series?

If you have the money to spare for the DX90, I'd totally go for it. Its a wonderful player and a fantastic DAC for line out use

 
Yeah decided to give up the X1 pre-order, put the funds towards the DX90 and keep the X3. Still curious to know how the X1 sounds though compared to the X3 (FW3.2)
